Kilimanjaro Nighttime, Fast Pass?

We haven't been to AK since the they began the extended evening hours. We typically get a Fast Pass for the Safari in the morning but would really like to experience the evening safari. I would prefer to not tie up a Fast Pass all day. Are there typically evening safari passes available via the kiosks? If not, how long is the wait typically in the evening.

We will be at the park on April 26. Looks to be classified as Yellow based on Touring Plans.

Safari fast passes are usually all long gone by the day before. Standby is usual lengthy, but later you go the shorter the line should be

Rivers of Light, the new nighttime show at AK. We are there a similar time and have FPs for Safari at 7-8 and RoL for the 8:45 show.

We can't book our FP yet b/c we're staying off property. As of now I have the River of Light Dining Package w/ lunch at Tusker House. I'm not sure if I am going to keep the reservation. My husband and kids didn't seem to excited about the lunch menu. I was really hoping for breakfast.

Is it necessary to have a FP for River of Light? I realize it's new but figured the space would be huge like Fantasmic so almost everyone could get in.

We don't have hoppers so we'll be at AK all day. I was planning to have FP for early in the day and then add what I can via the kiosk.

You don't NEED a dining package for ROL, you also don't need a FP. But both can help. However just like with Fantasmic, you need to show up well ahead of showtime to get good seats.

I tried standby 2 weeks ago and show was at capacity about 40 min prior to showtime

The RoL seating area is much smaller than F!

You can add your 4th FP and so on from your MDE app. You won't need to go to a FP kiosk.
