Hi all. I've read that some little girls wear their princess costumes to MK. My duaghter has one of the nice ones from the disney Store and I know that she would love to wear it to breakfast with Cinderella or to the meal with the princesses at Epcot - but the thing is very heavy and very HOT. How do the kids do this? Do they take it and change out of it? If so, what does Mom do with the costume for the rest of the day so it doesn't get lost/damaged or stolen? Or - is this costume thing just not an option in the summer? Thanks. I'll wait for the pros to anwer.
Leaving for Disney tomorrow.

(If there is a better place to post this, let me know.) thanks....:earsgirl:

if you're doing a princess breakfast and your daughter loves her costume, many little girls will be dressed up, and many long-suffering moms will be bundling the costumes into bags and schlepping them into lockers or carrying them around.

Disney is missing a great $$ opportunity--they could raise big bucks by offering a costumer courier service back to resorts for resort guests.

I read of one mom who bought something at the tinkerbell store and talked the cm into letting her attach the costume for delivery to the resort, but I doubt it's general practice.

I will say that I have seen many little girls looking mightly uncomfortable walking around/riding in strollers wearing costumes. Having said that, though, I think it would be well worth the effort of stashing it in a locker, for her the have the chance to wear it for a character meal. If she wears it to CRT, then you just have to zip back down Main St, to the train station, to put it in a locker.

Have a great trip!

In the good old days, when DD12 was still just a little girl:p she wore her Belle costume, also Esmerelda. I never could get her to wear a snow white, and she looked just like her, I swear :(
She always wore these outfits with great pride, almost forgetting for a few hours that she wasnt *really* Belle, or Esmerelda
