Do kids under 3 count toward the room occupancy total?

I'm planning an Oct/Nov 09 stay on rented points (saving up for DVC membership!) with 4 adults, DD4 and DD2. Would my DD2 count towad the total and bring us up to 6? I know most 1BR's at AKV accommodate 5. If DD2 counts toward total, I'm assuming this would require us to go to a 2BR, right?

Thanks, you DVC DISers rock!

DVCs occupancy limits are all stated as a number (5 in a 1BR at AKV) PLUS a child under 3 sleeping in a crib. You will be fine. Only issue is whether you would prefer the larger 2BR to have more space and privacy.

Thanks. AKV would be the only DVC property where I could do this (5+1) though, right? Everywhere else is 4 + 1 under 3 in a crib for 1BR?

Theoretically, yes. MS will usually let you book 5 adults in a 1 bedroom, but there will not be bedding or towels for them. AKV and BLT will have beds for everyone.

Great to know, thanks! We'd like to give BCV a try but didn't know if they'd allow 4 adults + 2 kids (one under 3). Guess it's woth a shot! Thanks again.

A reminder that occupancy is, historically, a hot topic on the DVC boards and such discussions are limited to the DVC Occupancy Thread only. You may continue the discussin there, if you wish.

Thanks
