Kids TS credit question

We're probably going to be on DDP for our Dec trip. My husband's only request (which we did not do last trip) is to eat at Brown Derby, so we have ADR's for dinner. Based on the kids menu and our ADR time, I'm pretty sure my son will not eat anything while we're there. I was going to have him eat CS beforehand and have him snack on some goldfish or something while we're there.

Mmy question is this - assuming we do that, we'll have 2 extra kids TS credits floating around. We have 2 character breakfasts planned during the week as well. Would I be able to use his leftover TS credits to pay for his character meal and pay cash for ours, or will his credits just be lost?

TIA to all the DDP experts!

You certainly can choose to only use Adult TS credits for you and DH at Brown Derby then use only a Child TS at a character breakfast and pay cash for you and DH. At both locations just let the server know your plans (at Brown Derby charge 2 adult meals to the dining plan, at character breakfast charge 1 child meal to the dining plan and pay cash/credit/room charge for the adult meals).

We just did something simiar, we use our DDP for 2 adult meals at Narcoossee's. We paid cash for the kids meal, $10 including a heavy tip!

The adults paid OOP at Chef Mickey's and used the a child TS for the other meal. We ended up with an extra kid's TS at the end, the only thing left on our plan. We could have used it at a place like Beaches & Cream, no ADR needed, no park ticket needed, adult menu is pretty low priced, good for an OOP meal.
