Has anyone ever booked a kids suite at HRH? could you tell me if the suites have pool or garden views (we would prefer pool view) does anyone have any photos of the room?
I am trying to decide if its best to book 2 connecting rooms or the kids suite room, I dont think I feel overly happy about our girls (11 & 9) having access to the hall way so maybe the kids suite would be our best option. We will be staying for 3 nights and dont want to be cramped in one small room, its hubby and mines vacation too so a little privacy from the kids would be great ;)

Any advice on which suite is best to book with regards to views, close to lobby etc would be much appreciated, especially keen to see some photos!

I've stayed in a kids suite at HRH but they have been renovated since then. They are my favorite layout at that hotel! However, they only have one toilet. They do have two seperate bathroom areas with two sinks a shower and a tub that are seperate. They have kids suites on all or most floors and I had a poolview once and a gardenview another. The closet is HUGE and you could fit a bed in there!

We stayed in onw in November It was great! The two Bathroom part is good for getting ready and the closet is huge!

You will love all the room. Go for it! We did!

We stayed in a kid's suite at HRH last year. The room was darling and the kids loved it. But be warned, the layout of the kid's suite somehow funnels noise into the master bedroom. Every step someone takes in the hall can be heard. People talking in normal voices seemed like they were shouting. We got very little sleep. The kid's room was very quiet. Next time we would book connecting rooms insteaad. Maybe we were unlucky and got a noisy room. Whatever you decide - Have fun!

Are the kid's beds big enough for teens or are they shorter?

Those pics are great! I wanna stay in one and Im 27! LOL What are the rack rates for those?

800 sq ft is a lot of room..........you won't be falling over each other if you book the kids suite.

my house is just under 1700 sq ft.

I'm not sure what the rack rates are but you can book one off season for $350-400 a night. During peak seasons I have seen them as high as $600 a night. They do allow a AAA and APH discount on these rooms when available. There is also a Super Saver Rate for them.

damo, sorry didnt see the ques till now. I 'think' the beds were a shorter version of a standard twin. That could have changed when they did the refurb. I could also just be wrong on the size but they did appear shorter to me.

Funny the other poster mentioned the noise.....that's the most memorable part about our visit in the kids suite as well......we were right near the elevators and there was noise all night long. That was our first stay at HRH, so I wondered if that's just the way the place was! Subsequent visits (in regular rooms) were quieter though. I don't know if all of the Kids Suites are near elevators.

We stayed in a Kids Suite the first visit, but I decided not to spend the money for subsequent visits. If you can get adjoining rooms, that definitely seems like a better deal.....two full baths is very helpful! I guess my other reaction to Kids Suite was that I found it strange it didn't have more kitchen amenities, e.g. a refrigerator that wasn't already crammed with mini-bar stuff. When we get suites at other hotels, they usually have a refrigerator and microwave at a minimum and often a few dishes, etc. It was cute, but I just didn't think it was worth the price. On the other hand, as I've also been in situations where a connecting room request didn't come through either, so I suppose getting a Kids Suite is one way to avoid that problem!

Have a great trip!
