was looking at past discounts @ kids play and stay free... I have never heard of this offer but sounds great!! We dont have to pay for our 18 month old like our 4 year old yet but I do believe this would be a great deal when he hits 3!! And if we ever have a 3rd! Believe me, I have thought about what it will cost with 3 kids.. YIKES!!!!

has anyone used this discount?
Wonder what the likeleihood of them bringing it back? :)

I've heard of it before. Disney came out with this marketing ploy after my kids were already past the "under 10" mark, so we were never able to make use of it.

It's a little bit deceptive because when you think about it, kids stay for free all of the time. So all you really got was a free ticket for the children in your family under the age of 10. Those in the family age 10 and over had to pay for their tickets and the child(ren) under 10 got the equivalent ticket for free. I can't remember if you could add no-expiry to the adult's tickets and get no-expiry for free on the kids' tickets.

There was also a "kids stay, play and dine free" offer, which was also pretty popular. But anyone in the family who was 10 and over had to pay for dining plan in order to book that package.

I suppose there's a chance that Disney may bring that offer back again. You never know what kind they're thinking. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes a come back but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Very unlikely. It's been gone for almost 3 years. It was a decent discount if all of your kids were under 10, but free dining still played out better for most people.

The ran a stay, play and dine plan last January and February, 2013. It was different than the kids stay free plan.

The stay, play and dine plan worked like this: you had to get the dining plan and tickets, and stay a certain number of days, I think it was four or five. The adults paid child's price for the dining plan and park tickets. No one was free. It worked really well for families with a lot of adult children. They saved the most with it.

There was also a room discount at the same time. So families of four with two adults and two children staying at a deluxe resort would sometimes get a better discount by taking a room only discount. For my daughter and her family of four, 2 adults and two children, staying at the WL, the difference between discounts was only about $18.

We used this offer the last time we went to disney (summer of 2011). It was a better deal for us than the current room offer that was going on at the time. We had 3 adults and 2 kids on that trip. Like pp stated, kids stay free all the time at disney resorts. The savings was more or less in the tickets. The promotion was valid on base tickets only. If you wanted to upgrade to park hoppers, no exp, etc., you had to pay the difference. I think it was about $56 to upgrade each kid for park hoppers. That year we stayed at POR, got the DDP, and park hoppers and for 3 adults 2 kids our trip was around $4000 for 7nights/8days with that promotion. I haven't seen that promotion since then, so who knows if they will ever offer again.
