I know their not allowed to share at buffets but is family stlye still considered buffet? My DD is only 3 and wont eat very much at these type of places. We're going to Garden Grill and 'Ohana and didnt know if she could just share my plate or if they would have to charge her for a meal.I also was wondering about CRT.These are pre priced meals but could she share with me here? She's just not a big enough eater to pay $30 for a meal.Has anyone been recently or tried this? Any info would be helpful.Thanks. :goodvibes

All you can eat..family style...a buffet served at your table.

Plan on paying. If you think the price is to high, maybe you should choose non-buffet/family style type restaurants where she would be allowed to eat off your plate.

Our 3 year old grandaughter has quite an appetite, she rarely eats off our plates, lol.

Each person age 3 and over is charged at a family style meal. It is the same as a buffet. So, no, she cannot eat off your plate.

The charge is not $30 for a child. In most places, it is about $10.

We had a similar situation. When my DD turned 10, she ate like a bird. I couldn't justify paying a full adult price for her to eat at the set price places. So we just went to places where you could order off of the menu. She either ordered an appetizer or shared with me. So, that might be a good option for you if you do not want to pay for your 3 y.o. Just choose the "order off the menu" places and share with her. Although we usually "give in" and do a couple character meals and just suck it up and pay the $20 meal for her. Even though she might only eat a pastry and a few pieces of fruit.

thats what I thought about the family style but I am still wondering about CRT.Surely she can share there cant she?

CRT is "pre-plated" but it is considered all-you-can-eat, so if you want more of something, you just ask for it. I don't think you could share with your daughter here either.
