Kids say the darndest things...

One day last week DW asked DS 7 how he enjoyed lunch at school, as they were supposed to have popcorn shrimp-his favorite.

He said he didn't eat lunch, and was still hungry.
DW asked him why, and he said that they never had shrimp, instead they had catfish, so he didn't eat.
DW asked him if at least tried it, and he stated, rather emphatically...

"I don't eat fish and I don't eat cat, not the bones, not the fur,
nothing."

DW started to chuckle and explain catfish to him when DS 5 chimed in.

"Duh---its made out of chicken"

DW lost it at that point.

I'm still laughing....

lol - that's too cute. But can't blame him - thought he was having shrimp and it turned into some weird half cat/half fish thing


my dd said the darndest thing yesterday too.....

we were in a store and there was a police officer at the counter. DD yells really loud "uh uh Mommy, there's a police man....don't steal anything!"

Then of course I had to say just as loudly "I wouldn't steal anything even if there was no police man!"

Actually, I had not thought of that.

I will have to talk to DW about that, though.
