Have you sold things at a children's resale sale? I have shopped at them before, at a school. This time I am selling at one. Can you tell me a little about being a seller and what I can expect? Do most things sell? This is a big one being held at the county fairgrounds. Since I am volunteering, my commission will be 75% of my selling price.
Thanks for any info you can give me.

Well, I think the best advice is to price stuff at prices you would be willing to pay if you were buying. The more reasonably priced things are, the more likely they are to sell. You are earning an excellent commission IMO! As far as how much will sell, well that is anyone's guess. It will just depend on the amount of traffic, what people are looking for, how things are priced, etc...
But with such a high commission level, you can price your stuff pretty reasonable with the hopes to move the bulk of it, and make a tidy little profit for yourself. JMHO Good Luck !!! :goodvibes

I sell a bunch of my kids stuff at the consignment sale here...they have about 4 a year near me, 2 in the spring and 2 in the fall. I volunteer at them as well and get a better percentage back. Last year I made $1000 between the sales. It's a lot of prep work, but so nice to get something back for clothes that my kids hardly wore because they grew so fast. Toys sell really well as well as furniture.

It really all depends on your prices, the amount of people that shop your sale and what they are looking for. I have been participating in the JustBetweenFriends sale locally for the last 3 years. The spring sale just ended yesterday and this has been my best profit so far. I generally prices my things between $3-$5 as I do not want to bring it home. This year I sold about 80% of items that I took and made right around $1000

I agree with what the other posters said, with one additional piece of advice. There are usually a LOT of baby clothes, way more than clothes for older kids. As such, there are more to pick from and you have to price competitively in order to sell the baby clothes.

Thank you for your thoughts. Everything said made a lot of sense. Things to think about as I'm pricing. Thank you, again!

I would also add ... make sure you read the details on your sales website and when in doubt ASK. most sales also have a facebook page where other sellers chat.

Good Luck!
