Our little runner has only done the Kids Races at DL over DL 1/2 and Tinker Bell 1/2 Weekend. Honestly, the sometimes the kids races are SO unorganized but the last one over Tink weekend was done really well.

We are trying to decide if we should have him participate in the kids race during Princess 1/2 Weekend in 2013.

I would love to hear any experiences from those who have done the kids races on both coasts to compare etc. Do the parents still run with the kids out in WDW ?? Do the races take up pretty much the entire morning ???
How organized is it?

I would love to hear some experiences that you've had.

Thanks

We had our three kids run the races last Princess weekend. They enjoyed it. It was at the ESPN center track. I am sure it was done the same way at DL where they have mini corrals for each race so that each kid can have their moment as they cross and not one big mass. The place was busy as they as had people picking up the packet. We got their early which we glad we did since we had to park a way away. I would suggest picking up the packets the day before.

VickiHD, would you mind describing the kids races at the Tinker Bell Half? I am thinking of signing my kids up next year. Are there characters there and other things to do? Or, do you just run and your done? I'm trying to figure out if that is a good day for a breakfast character meal.:)

Thanks, a lot!:goodvibes

DH and I think it was MUCH more organized than the Kids Races at the DL 1/2. We only participated in the 200 meter run so I can't speak of the other ones. But the kids and parent we're held at the Pacific Wharf Area in DCA near bathrooms and wait until their time to go. The kids and parents "ran" to the finish and a few characters are at the finish to keep the kids motivated to get across the finish line. As the parent who watch and took photos, it was done well. Snacks and photo ops for the kids/with their medals after the race. Other than that you run and your done but our little guy just loves it. We will plan on doing it again.
PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier Hotel is our "favorite" character meal.
Hope that helps :)

Thanks, I think my kids will have a great time running through the park! And, then breakfast with Stitch at PCH Grill! :thumbsup2. It will be a great way to start the day. I appreciate the info.
