I was reading another forum on here and people were saying that Disney does not show the difference between the adult and child QS credits. Example: You have 10 adult QS and 5 kids QS. They are saying that it really just shows 15 QS credits. That there is no way of telling which are adult and which are kids. The posters were telling people that they could then order adult QS for the kids and no one would know.

Is this right?

Thanks

The computer does not differentiate between adult and kid QS credits.
You're still supposed to respect the system.

Furthermore, your card will state something to the effect of 2A1C -- 2 adults and 1 child. Thus at the register, at one time, they won't let you get more than 2 adult meals at a time.

just a question...did you pay for adult credits or kid's credits? Because basically, you should get what you paid for, right? And yes, they would "know"...your cards will say exactly how many children and how many adults are on your plan. I have been behind people in line at the resort who were being told they could not purchase 4 adult meals because their card shows 2 adults 2 children.

If you have a"Disney-child" that doesn't want the kids meals, they let you register the child as a 10 year old, then you can buy the adult plan for that child:thumbsup2

On the other hand, if you have paid for adult dining plan, but you have a "Disney adult" child who would rather have the child's meal, you might be better off paying cash to purchase that child a kids meal since they are relatively inexpensive...and then use the child's adult credit another time. :thumbsup2

I did not say I was going to do this, but I did wonder. I was thinking more along the lines of the Free Dining offer.

I was just surprised that they were saying this. I would never pay for a kid and then try to use all Adult meals.

No the computer does not know the difference they are all pooled in together so if you have 10 adult and 10 kids then it just says 20 QS meals :)

While the entitlements aren't technically differentiated, as others have described your Key to th World will show how many adults and how many children are included in your Dining Plan. Everything relating to the Dining Plans combined and referencing children 3-9 ("Disney-children") states that DP users in this age group must order from the menu where available - which includes most CS locations. Plus, it's a violation of DIS guidelines to discuss ways around Disney rules ;).

going to go ahead and close this one down. The reality and the guidelines are above

thanks!
