Hi. Saw an older thread regarding kids on Hollywood/Backstage magic trip. It seemed to elude to their being some kind of kids activities. My child is a history/science/museum buff and lives to see how things work/ go together. I have no doubt that he will love the trip as much as we will. So, I'm just wondering what was meant by"kids activities". I have no intention of not having him with us, doing what we're doing.
So, if anyone has had their kids with them, I'd love to know what, if anything different , to expect.(I've read the variuos trip reports and can't wait!!) thanks!

We've taken the tour twice, and I don't think there were any kid-specific activities on the Backstage Magic tour. Hey, they're in Disneyland; what more could they want!:) Seriously, though, if your kid enjoys history or seeing how things work, the tour offers some activities that would fall under that category, including the "backstage" moments at DL and the trip to the Walt Disney studios (archives), Imagineering and even Walt's barn in Griffith Park.

Thanks! I know he'll love it! I was just wondering about what I had read on a previous thread. I know we'll have PLENTY of fun things to keep us all occupied. We are so excited!

We did the trip last summer with our nine year old son. He considers it the trip of his lifetime! There were many magical moments for him just on the normal tour. We had a bunch of kids from age six to about fourteen and they all had a blast. There are no "kid's activities" per say on this trip because there are days you spend in the parks and a lot of what you see is set up for all ages.

Thanks! We're soooo looking forward to it!
Can't wait to be able to check out some of "the magic behind the Magic!" from Walt, Jim Hensen, old Hollywood and Imagineering.
I have noticed though, that people who don't"get Disney", don't really "get" the gist of the trip.
I heard one person tell me that one of my trip highlights will be getting to fly into LAX.
Ha! As if that could compare to walking through Walts apartment!?!?!?! Ooookaaay!....

??? I wouldn't consider flying into LAX to be the highlight of any trip! It's just an airport, and kind of a crappy one at that!

I agree with Sayhello on this!

Our son had a blast on this trip and even though it's been 7 months since we got home he still talks about the trip daily. I'm finally getting our scrapbook done of the trip and realized this week I took TOO many pictures - but there's not a single one I want to leave out. Some places we went too I wish we could have seen more and experienced more, other places I think we spent too much time. With that being said, I wouldn't have left off anything that we did. It was such a magical trip and it's something that we will remember fondly for a long, long time.
