Is there a height restriction for this ride? How would a 5 year old and a 3 year old handle this ride?

Thanks :wave2:

Our daughter was 4 (2002) when she reached 42" . On a typical summer day, we'd rush straight to Popeye (in bathing suits, t-shirts and water shoes) and ride as many times as they would let us without getting off. She absolutely loved the barges then. At 7, she still enjoys them, but nothing can compare to a few years ago. So, I'd guess the 5 year old would really love it and the 3 year old might not be quite tall enough.

Make sure you pack a towel and take off your shoes and socks, cause you're gonna get wet. Did I mention that you're going to get wet-very, very wet!!! :teeth:

You have the potential of getting drenched. Rarely will you ride and stay completely dry.

I went on a similar ride in California and was the "lucky" sole under every waterfall and with my back to every drop.

There was not a dry stitch on me, and my shoes just poured water (canvas ones, you'd think most would have leaked out) when I squeezed them out.

Luckily it was lovely and warm - I stood under the hand dryer in the Ladies for a few minutes then waited in the sun while DH went on all the fast rides I didn't want to do.

Wouldn't want to do the same ride in the UK!!!!
:rotfl: :wave2:

My 5 year old rode it today, he also rode itr when he was 4. My 3 year old hates getting wet, sooo...

My 5 year old also rode Dudley Do-Right today and LOVED it.

Our favorite Daddy/Daughter (5yr) ride last year...Absolutely drenched everytime we went on it !! Take your crew and make memories !! :moped:

warning ye will get soaked
im not sure about the 3 year old but the 5 year old will be fine
also they make it so that a lot of water will get in
i suggest bringing a poncho:teeth:

We all did Kali river rapids - wrapped 5yo in DH's poncho and all put our flipflops on, rode it as last ride of the day - I was the unlucky one and go soaked, everyone else only lightly splashed (but glad of flip flops - DO change back into your dry shoes before leaving the park as the flipflops were responsible for the only blisters I got in 2 weeks!)

However, DH and DS(11) decided to do Bilge rat Barges haviong got soaked on Jurassic Park River Adventure - no hiding place and even poncho useless - and got even MORE soaked. It is a better - and longer - ride, but whereas on Kali only one person generally gets soaked (why is it always me?) on BRB everyone gets soaked, as well as squirted from above by poeple on Popeye's ship and the bridge over the river.

DH and DS then went on Rip Saw Falls just to make sure there were no dry spots left - then we went home because it was raining!!
