has anyone ever used any medications for their kids to prevent motion sickness on a cruise? I have a 2y.o and a 5y.o and I want to try to prevent them getting motion sick on the cruise. Any suggestions are welcome!

We bought natural ginger gravol for kids and Dramamine for kids - and never had to use it with our kid who cruised at age 5 and 6. We got queasy here and there but he never did. I think you can also use the sea bands on children.
We talked to the pharmacist who said there is no harm in trying any of these.
Do your kids tend to get motion sick in cars or amusement park rides? If not, they'll most likely be ok on the ship. But I agree with Princess that you should talk to your pediatrician. When my DD was young, her dr. told us to use benedryl.

That's how I was the first cruise with DS and gave him the natural ginger tablets to prevent it, then forgot about it halfway through the cruise and he seemed fine I always take stuff just in case. Those were the 2 recommended to me. The Dramamine for kids I got at Target.
My DD gets motion sickness in the car if she reads or watches videos. I spoke with her pedi about it prior to our first cruise (age 5, DD is age 7 now) and she suggested ginger gum and children's Dramamine. On the first cruise on the Dream, the first night she said her tummy was a little funny and I gave her some ginger gum and it helped a little. Later she was still complaining and I gave her half a Dramamine. She was fine the rest of the cruise.
Second cruise (the Magic) she was fine. I took the same items just in case. Having a full tummy does help (it sounds counterintuitive). Sometimes her tummy "hurts" and she wants ginger gum. I think she just wants the ginger gum
