Kids *Middle* Names?

We also use family surnames as middle names. My DB's middle names are Miles and Benn. Miles can be used as a first name and the Benn is a little odd in the spelling for a first name. Me - I have a double first name and no middle name. People keep wanting to make Ellen my middle name.

DH is a twin so our boys have dad and uncles name as there middle names.

DD has my first name as her middle name Nicole. I have my mom and I have the same middle name Terese.

DS has DH's name reversed. DH is Robert Brendan and DS is Brendan Robert

DD's middle name is Elisabeth, just because we love the name. We opted against family names because my maternal grandmother's name was Hildegarde, my paternal grandmother's name was Bertha, and my mother's name was Helma. My apologies to any Hildegardes, Berthas, or Helmas on the board, but DH & I decided not to pass on any of those names!

My oldest dd's first name is Madison and while we choose it for it's ancestry it is also trendy. We gave her the middle name of Rose because we felt that she could go by that as she ages if she chooses too. She's not completely trapped with a "trendy" name.

Our youngest dd's name is Teagan and again we went Irish (my dh's family is Irish) and we choose a more unique middle name. Her middle name is Rae. It was going to be Rae, Ryan or Raine and Rae won the toss.

Kelsey and Hailey were named by their mom, who has since passed, but I love their names

They wanted me to name Logan "Brandy" after her biological mom, but I could not have Kelsey and Hailey calling their little sister their moms name, reminding them every day of their loss.

DD's(11) middle name is Elizabeth, which is also my middle name.
DD's(15) middle name is Ashton. There was a character in the movie/book "North and South" named Ashton. I didn't care much for the character, but I loved the name. For many years I never came across another Ashton until recently.

My DD has 2 middle names. Jennifer-MacKenzie.

Jennifer in honor of my DH's youngest sister who we lost to Juvenile Diabetes and Mackenzie because I couldn't decide between 2 names for her first name. I knew I didn't want more kids but I had 2 favorite girl names. Prior to her arrival we did not know she was a girl. My MIL was bugging me to name the baby and finally said give her all the names and she can decide what to use later. Her first name is my first favorite and her middle name is second favorite. We hyphenated it to avoid "Middle Initial?" confusion.

My DD's middle name is Ella because when DH and I announced to our son that he was having a baby sister, we asked him what we should name her. He thought for a moment and then said, "Cinderella!"

DD1's (7) middle name is Jayne after DH's grandmother. She passed right as we started dating and DD1 was born right around Grandma Jane's birthday (within a couple of days).

DD2's (4) middle name is Victoria. Not named after anyone, but how we came up with her name is tricky. We knew we were having a girl, and we finally settled on 2 names: Maiya Elizabeth (Elizabeth after DH's mom) and Victoria Grace (Grace after my Great Great Grandmother). We couldn't decide between the two, so we chucked the middles names and put the 2 first names together and she became Maiya Victoria.

DD#1 is Marie--from DH's favorite cousin and it's his mom's middle name (the first girl on my side always gets the middle name Irene--but that is the oldest daughter's responsibility, so my sister's oldest is Kaitlin Irene)
DD#2 is Kathleen--sounds good and Irish with her first name, Erin
DS is William--which is not only his father's name, but both of his grandfathers.

I like compact, normal names. Some of my nieces have LLOOOOOONG names-their middles names are Gabriella, Victoria, and Elena.

DS's middle name is Harrison. (DH's name is Harry - get it - Harry's son ) He is a Star Wars fan and originally wanted to name him Harrison Ford. I said NO, but I'd agree to Harrison as a middle name.
