Hi there! I have a 12 year old (13 when we travel) who has a small and fussy appetite, he always orders from kids menu as he doesn't like fussy food, I'm nervous that when dining in Disney he will have to order from adult menu while his siblings all enjoy the kids one, any advice or suggestions? I'd happily pay adult price it's not the cost that bothers me, just want him to enjoy his mealtimes

No worries. My son is very similar and believe me when I say he find plenty to eat at Disney.

Yes, your son can order from the kids menu, but they are small. I know at some places, like Prime Time for one, they will make my son an adult portion of mac n' cheese, instead of being the kids size.

My son likes baked chicken but not with any sauces on it, we haven't had any issues with just ordering a baked chicken plain.

Sounds easy to me- if you are doing the regular DP then at CS most places have similar kids adult items so he should not care- his burger would be bigger or maybe tenders instead of nuggets. For TS I would pay OOP for him for a kids meal and then have an extra meal for you and DH. You could always do buffets that would let everyone eat what they want.

Good luck

I have found Disney so accommodating for kids of all ages and food. :) big portions of kids food, small portions of adult food, changes to food, food off the menu (hey could you toast 2 pieces of bread and put cheese between?)

I totally agree with this. We have never had a problem with ordering whatever we wanted. On our last trip, DD13 is a vegetarian, and was able to order stuff from the kids menus, combinations of side dishes, and some places even made her special dishes that weren't on the menu. They have always been so accomodating. Just ask wherever you go!

Oh thank you guys!! Really put my mind at rest! We won't be on dining plan as we are staying in an emerald island villa, but will still be making a few ressies, can't go to wdw and not enjoy all the amazing restaurants!, I hope one day my ds will have a taste for food and enjoy all the flavours the world has to offer, ... We can only hope ;-)

(as I type my dog has just run in and licked me with very fishy breath!! I better check the salmon fillets I left out on the sideboard!!! Oh dear! Thank you for the info!!!)
