Okay, here is the story. I have one DS who will be 13 when we go in october, and a DS who is 11. Story goes like this, my 13yo barely eats.. and my 11yo eats more than I do but he is picky. Now down to the question, I am planning character meals, and understand I must pay accordingly (ie 13yo as an adult etc) As for other meals, can I order off the childs menu for my 13 yo that eats like a bird? It is not a money issue, just hate to waste food. Any advice will be helpful in this matter.

Meal Plans:

Chef Mickey's first night (3 adult, 1 child)
Cindys Castle for dinner (2 adults, 2 children?)
L'Originale Alfredo di Roma (2 adults, 2 children?)
Liberty Tree Tavern Character meal before MNSSHP (3 adult, 1 child)
Donalds breakfast (3 adult, 1 child)
Crystal Palace breakfast (3 adult, 1 child)

Does this work????

I have never tried this, but there have been other discussions where adults have said they ordered off the children's menu for themselves. The exception would be buffets, I think the 13 year old has to pay the adult price for those.

Sure--they can both order off the kids menu at the ala carte restaurants. You could also split a meal with the 13 YO. If your 11 YO can really pack it away, he might need to order off the adult menu. Also as an FYI, most restaurants will make a half portion of most anything on the adult menu for about half the price. Especially with older kids and "tweeners" that kids menu will get boring pretty quick. :)

As far as where you're planning on eating, I'm not a big fan of Chef Mickey's, I think the CD at 1900 Park Fare is FAR superior in terms of food quality and variety, service, and ambience. I'm also not too fond of Alfredo's, Mama Melroses in MGM is MUCH better, with lower prices on top of better food quality, far better service, and a more diverse menu. Just food for thought (no pun intended!)
