Hi! We were at Disney for the free dining last year, and it was awesome! We are going again this August, but we miss the free dining and are paying for the dining plan. I know the menus have changed for the kids, and its not really anything my kids will love. Many menus do say that fries are available as a choice on request......has anyone had much luck with this? We would probably be doing that at most of our counter service meals. I'm just curious as to how difficult that would be.

Thanks!
Jennifer

FWIR, wherever it says that fries available as a substitution on request, you just ask and you receive.

When we were at Disney in April- I gotta say that the quality of the TS kids menu choices has severly went downhill. In the past- my son was always happy to choose from the kids menu as there was quite a variety to choose from. This time- there were a lot of salad's, fruit, pasta and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...not a whole lot else to choose from. Last August there were chicken strips, hot dogs, burgers, and tons of other stuff kids like. Not this time!

Also- the portions on the childrens menu were horrible. It's fine if your child is under 5 but my son was still hungry much of the time because the portions were so small.

Fortunately for us- we have 2 kids and our daughter was old enough to pick from the adult menu so she shared her food much of the time.
