We are not big eaters in the morning and even though we are on the Basic DP (and do not wish to use a credit for breakfast) I planned on paying for breakfast OOP. Can you purchase kid's meals for adults (all 4 of us are by WDW standards)? I planned on using my KTTW card and charging them to our room and realized they will see we are a party of 4 "adults". I really just wanted to grab something @ Cafe Rix in the morning for our group but am afraid I will be breaking some Disney law. I really do try to follow the rules most of the time. I figure if I want a kid's portion and that is all I want and I am paying for it that should be okay.

You will be fine. :) If you are paying OOP you can order whatever you want. If you are on the dining plan, an adult can order from the kids menu as well. It is obviously not the most cost effective, but you will have no problems using an *adult* credit for a *kids* meal.

That's what I do! I'm not a big breakfast eater, but my BFF likes a hearty breakfast periodically. So she'll order an adult combination (usually omlette or scrambled eggs platter) at Pop Century and I'll order a childs' platter. That's about as much breakfast as I can handle! *LOL*

I've seen signs posted that childrens' meals are for "guests 9 and under," but I dislike wasting food and feel I have to eat everything on the plate! Still feel guilty about all the starving children my mother used to evoke to get me to eat! No one has ever challenged my choice. :)

We also have bought one of the large breakfasts and shared it. We once bought the big breakfast and shared it with 4 people.

I do it all the time.

In fact, I once ordered a kids meal (chicken tenders & fries)at Starlight Cafe and the CM who handed me my food tray asked if the order was for me. I told him yes, and he said wait one minute, I have something else for you. He gave me an extra order of fries...he said because they just came out of the fryer- they're really good. Yep, they really were good!

Yep - ordering a kids meal is good strategy! I do it not only and Disney but also at home when I am forced to eat a a fast food place. :goodvibes
