DD is going to be playing t-ball this spring and she is very much left handed. I have found lots of affordable right handed kids gloves but none for lefties. The only one I can find is at Sports Authority but its more than twice as much as the righties I have found. None on ebay, none on craigslist....any suggestions?

I am in the same situation for DS and did not see one at our walmart when I looked last week (regular not super). I am hoping we both can get some answers without spending a fortune. :)

Do you have a Dunham's Sporting Goods near you by any chance? We found DD's lefty glove there for like $14 last year.

I am in the same situation too! The problem is and you have probably figured this out...say the shipment is 100 gloves well 5 will be for left handers. I have friends and family on the lookout for me. I hate that it so hard for these children. Oh! And make sure the t-ball team has a left handed helmet for them too! If I find them, I will let you know. Thanksfor posting this!

Have you looked around where you live for a 2nd hand sporting goods place? We got our daughter's T-ball bat, cleats, and helmet for under $20.

Not that I'm cheap, but I'd hate to spend greater than $100 on something she may not want to do after this year.

Maybe the one at SA for $31 is a good deal, and its available, so I guess I'll grab it while I still can. I never would have though this would be so difficult to find, the right handed ones are everywhere and much cheaper! Thanks for the head ups about the helmet, I will have to make sure they have one for a lefty.

K-mart has them same price as the right handed gloves they had brown and pink

I just did a search on Amazon for left handed baseball glvoes and found several options cheaper than $20. Add 5 more and get free shipping if you have that much time. I think that is way I am going. We dont start til April 19.

If you don't have luck locally, try justballgloves.com

They are a sister site to justbats and justgrandslams.com. We have ordered from them, they have a quality product at a great price. We just ordered a bat from justbats on Thurs, it was delivered on Sat morn. Free shipping, no tax and the same bat, but two years older, was $40 more at D!ck's.

I see a lot of lefties at Target and I've seen a few at Walmart. Not sure what size glove but if it's for t-ball I'm guessing not too big, but the Target I frequent carries a wide variety of size in both right and left-handed gloves.

Most of the kids here bring their own helmet, because of lice. All of our helmets are for righties or lefties (we have both in the family).

I got my son's at WalMart and I do understand the problems of finding one! We got lucky.

As for helmets, I highly recommend buying one for her and not allowing anyone else to use it. Lice are too easy to get and too hard to get rid of. My son has his own helmet, clearly labelled with his name and he knows that he is NOT to share. In fact, he takes it off and puts it back in his gear bag until it's his turn to bat again.

Mom to a lefty here (10 years in baseball) -- he's always had his own helmet, but it's just a helmet, not designated for right or left.

I found that if he needs a glove for the coming year, I have to take him as soon as the stuff comes out -- it sells quickly.

A recommendation to invest upfront in a bag for bag, helmet, and glove (DS keeps his cleats and his baseball cap in there as well). That way it's all in one place when you're running late to practice! :thumbsup2

I was in the same situation last year. I actually found a left handed pink girl's glove for my young daughter there last year for around 10.00. They also had blue or brown ones too!

I was so surprised to find the leftie gloves. If anyone finds a left handed kid's golf club set for cheap - post here or PM me. They are just as hard to find!
