We are going to MNSSHP for the first time and trying to decide on halloween costumes for the kids. Does everyone do disney theme costumes? They were thinking Mickey and Minnie (6 yr old girl, 3 yr old boy), but I'm wondering how overdone that will be?

Thanks!

Not everyone does Disney themed costumes. I know of a couple of adults dressing up as Mickey & Minnie but I don't remember seeing a lot of kids.

Now the princesses, that's another story.

Just be sure the kids are comfortable and the costumes won't be too hot (since you never know what the weather will be). In the past, we've experienced cold, hot and nice.

Not everyone does Disney themes. They do ask though that the girls long gowns, like for the Princesses be of a length they they will not trip getting on and off of rides, and that guns be left at home, for those cowboys and Indians.

We usually do a Disney Theme. Last year, DH and I were pirates and DD was Minnie Mouse. My parents were Mousekateers.

This year, DD is going as Pocohontas, and DH and I are going as Woody and Bo Peep.

I think it will be alot of fun!:)

I've never been to WDW at Halloween....but we'll be there this year. I have an 8yo boy and 3yo girl and they were going to be a pirate and Snow White respectively.....but now they want to be Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. Certainly easy costumes....but I do wonder if they'll be overdone! I guess you can't get more overdone than pirates and princesses this year though! LOL

I like the Kim Possible idea since the kids will be able to use the clothes afterwards! And I think my tiny little Kim Possible will be quite cute.

Dh and I haven't decided if we'll dress up...but since I'm pregnant, how many options do I have? My dh was getting smart about it and said "a pumpkin, a strawberry....." LOL I guess I could be Pooh!

I'll add this: be careful with heeled shoes. My Satine costume had high heels and I ened up breaking them in before hand and it can be tricky on some of the rides
