Oh my gosh...it is only Jan 10, and I can't find any gloves! Trying to find ski type gloves for DS7 for under $15. Impossible! I just bought him a new pair at Christmas, but we have lost one. But he ice skates, outdoors, etc., and his fleece ones don't cut it. But it has been impossible to find anything at a decent price! Especially since we may lose them. Ugh!

I just bought a pair of waterproof gloves for my DD and spent $20. I considered myself lucky :rotfl:.

Also looking for gloves for DS6 and DS9...keeping fingers crossed that I find some :goodvibes

Just saw a big display of them at K-Mart yesterday. (These days everyone seems to forget K-Mart, but IME they always have a good selection of gloves and hats long after every other store has taken them off the floor.)

Another possibility is Burlington Coat Factory, if you have one nearby.

If you have a kid who repeatedly loses gloves, you have to do the elastic-down-the-sleeves trick; otherwise you'll go insane. Buy some dark elastic and cut it long enough to go cuff to cuff down the arms and across the back + 12" or so. Knot the center of the elastic piece on the center of the hang loop of the coat, run it down the inside of the sleeves, and then attach the proper glove to each end. Too bad if kids think they are too old to have this done: if you lose them you live with it.

I got DS20 some a few years ago from JCPenney. They were on sale too! He was going skiing with the 4H (because we would never get enough snow to ski down here!).

If you have Rugged Bear near you they are having a huge sale right now on their winter stuff. I think all their gloves are 30% off and they're really good quality. They're ski jackets & pants are 50-60% off, i got my DD a set yesterday for next year, you can't beat the price & the quality.

We are constantly going through glove drama. I have found Gordini brand gloves are warm and waterproof. They cost about $20 -- I gave up finding anything less expensive. I have bought these at sporting retail stores.

Did you try lands end, DD loves her gloves from there, they have some waterproof ones. The best part is they have a program where if you lose one glove you can buy another one of just that glove for 1/2 the cost of the pair, I haven't had too yet, but I read about the program on their website.

I think your price point is your problem. IMO you aren't going to find anything decent and warm for under 15. The 14.99 from lands end sound pretty cheap, I'll have to go look at them. You can find warm and waterproof or cheap but it is rare unless you find some on clearance to find both.

Another hint especially with boys is to buy black all the time, That way you can make a new pair out of 2 different pairs. My son is wearing a pair like that today. The stitching pattern isn't the same but from a distance they look the same and boys don't care. Till you find some have him double up. On Saturday my DS was out from 7:30 AM to 3PM in 16 ish temp weather and he wore a thin pair under his better pair and was fine.

I bought some at Christmas Tree Shop - try there. They were in a large bin right by the door, but each store may be set up differently. Just ask someone at the desk if you can't find them. :)

I know these gloves are a bit above your price point, but I bought these for my 3 DDs last year and they are the BEST gloves they have ever had. We always had a problem with snow going up their sleeves, and these gloves keep their wrists dry. They run a bit big. My girls are 6, 9 and 10 and wear them every time they play outside. They wear the sleeve part under their coats, so they look like regular gloves from the outside. GREAT purchase for us!

Just scored gloves at Penney's on clearance for $6.99. I bought 4 pairs! I would not have a problem spending money on gloves, but DS is awful about losing them! Hate throwing money away!

More snow is coming tonight and my boys have outgrown what we had much quicker than I expected, so I went out today hoping to find some. Stopped at Burlington Coat, Ross, BJ's, K-Mart, Marshall's, and Sears without finding anything but the stretchy knit type. But seven must be my lucky number today because I finally found some at Boscov's on sale for $11.99 (supposedly they were originally $24). We'll see if they fit, but too big will work better than the too small ones we have. Anyone else hate that they size some boys' gloves as 4-7 and 8-20? I think DS9's will be quite a bit too big.

Costco has some nice ones. I think they are around your price point. I know they are under $20
