Hi! I wanted to give the young children who will be attending my wedding a special gift bag that will keep them entertained. :wizard: You know...with stuff like playdoh, legos, crayons, and coloring books...etc. Have you made kiddie bags for your wedding? What would you, or did you include in them?

Thanks! :cool1:

You could add balloons! They're super inexpensive, it takes just a few seconds to blow them up, and then kids (and adults!) entertain themselves for extended periods of time...

Just a thought on Play Doh... it easily gets ground into carpets. :) I know this from personal experience. :teacher:

Our kids bags had coloring books, crayons, princess sponge puzzles, glow necklaces, and a small stuffed Mickey....we had the bags waiting at their seats when they got to the reception...kept them entertained the whole night

we included some items for them in our guest welcome bags, swimming goggles, mickey playing cards, disney hardcover book & disney fruit snacks. at the reception we had disney coloring books & crayons and disney themed games ie disney yahtzee, kept them enterained. at the dessert party we had glow in the dark necklaces & bracelets for everyone.

Depending on how many kids you are having at the wedding you can give them Mickey/Minnie Ears, i know those can be expensive though. Like someone else said, Puzzles are great and so are coloring books. For little girls you can give them wands, they will love those especially if they are all dressed up, they can pretend they are fairies...atleast I would as a kid :rotfl:

It is always fun and a good idea to go to the dollar store and see what goodies you can find :) Best of luck.

I've been thinking about this too, but haven't come up with any great ideas. I agree about not getting play-doh. Could be a nightmare in the hotel room, or reception room! How about bubbles? My dollar store sometimes has card games in packs (old maid, go fish, memory). I am going to try to get those, but I haven't seen them lately. I have so many different age levels coming! I'll have to make them more personalized to suit their ages. I think I'll wait till it gets closer before I really start to look. Right now, if I see something good, I'll pick it up!

Thanks for your help everyone! I'll be sure to stay away from including playdoh in the gift bags! :rotfl: ;)

:rotfl: I love punching balloons. They usually come several in the package (2-4) and they used to have them at the dollar store. :rotfl:

We had 2 children at our wedding - my one-year old twin godsons. They didn't need too much to keep occupied, but I did make them gift bags.

Little boxes of cereal are a great snack for kids of all ages:

Both of the boys got these Mickey outfits - very inexpensive at Kids R Us:

They also each got a Stitch stuffed animal, which had been on clearance at the Disney store for $4.99

For any little princesses, they can make their own crown - you can buy kits or do it yourself. The girls can decorate with jewels. A number of the big gift shops throughout WDW have something similar.

Lots of great ideas here. You could also go to the toy/games aisle of your local Target and see what kinds of inexpensive items might be popular.

You should try looking in the birthday favor section of stores...they always have great kid friendly favors! Think crayons, coloring books, bubbles, mini slinky, yo-yo's, candy, etc.

Instead of a fancy table cloth you could cover the table with paper. The centerpiece could be a flower pot and inside put a bunch of flower pens/markers inside for the kids to draw on the table!

:goodvibes It's funny you should say that because I'm having long "The Last Supper" type of table arrangements that I'm going to be covering in brown kraft paper, and providing cute colored pencils so that people can write or draw on the paper what ever they want to! And that's not just for the kid's table! :rotfl: :rotfl:
