We are buying YES tix for our upcoming trip. We plan on spending the bulk of the day at the waterpark for those days, leaving around dinnertime. What would be economical is to hit some of the local restaurants with Kids Eat Free nights as we have 2 little ones and that would help to stretch our budget a little further. Ideally we'd like to stay within the I-Drive & 192 area since we'll most likely be staying somewhere over there.

Can anyone point me in the direction of finding out this information (the search function on the DIS wasn't working for me), or does anyone know of actual days any of the restaurants have this promotion going on? We live in a small area with none of the chain restaurants, so we're new to all of this! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I don't know of any places with free kids nights and I have done a lot of searching, but what I did find was the kids eat free card. www.kidseatfreecard.com I got 2 of these cards for half price through google offers. How the card works is 1 child 11 and under per card eats free with each adult meal ordered. There are 125 and counting places to choose from. Also although I couldn't find it on their site I called up Rainforest cafe at Animal Kingdom and Down town Disney and the cards are accepted there! I have a family of 6 Dh, me Ds11, Dd9, Ds5 and Ds3 so any bit of savings helps. If you find any info on kids eat free nights I would love to know and I will do the same.

I know Steak n Shake kids eat free on the weekends, and I think Perkins has a free day (maybe Tuesday or Wednsday) when kids eat free.

Is there an O'Charlie's nearby? Kids eat free there. Honestly though, my experience with "kids eat free" is that you just pay way more for Mom & Dad's meal and in the end it's about the same. Works great for a friend of mine with 4 kids. Not so much for me & our 2.

Check out outtoeatwithkids.com - it lists restaurants across the country that do kid specials. Lots in Orlando area. We are headed down in June, and I am mapping out off site meals.

Thanks everyone. I googled it and came up with mykidseatfree.com & kidseatfor.com, which had some info. One that I remember is Denny's, which has kids eat free on Tuesdays & Saturdays (evenings).

I personally think the kids eat free card that you can buy is a ripoff. There are only a couple of places on the list that we would consider going to. Plus you need a separate card for each kid!

I haven't tried the Kids Eat Free card yet, but as long as it's legit, it should be a good value if you frequently go to places on the list. If you're just going to be in the area for a few days though, then it's just not worth it.

I'd do a quick check for restaurant deals before you leave on your trip. Sign up for some email clubs to area restaurants if you haven't already. Many money-saving blogs offer lists of what you get for signing up at certain restaurants. Also, these email clubs do periodically send coupons - my favorites have been Ruby Tuesday and Chili's - at least once a month, but sometimes more often, I get Kids Eat Free coupons from Chili's which work out nicely as far as providing two free kids meals with each one adult meal purchased. So if two adults purchase a meal, you can get four free kids meals. Ruby Tuesday sometimes sends BOGO entree or burger coupons. Saving $10-15 off the cost of one adult meal can cover the price of two kids meals, in essence allowing two kids to eat for free. (I hope I stated that in a way that's understandable... sorry if I didn't, as I'm a bit mixed up in the head today.)

For my family of 6 getting the kids eat free card isn't a ripoff. I got the cards half price so $20 total. I know for sure we will be eating at CiCi's and the Rainforest Cafe so that saves us $28.00 or more already. Every family is different the restaurants on the list just happen to be a good fit for my family.

Ale House is a local restaurant with kids eat free on Tuesday. Even if you do not go on Tuesday, the kid's meals are $3.99. The age is up to 12 which is nice with us older children. The meals are not small either. My son gets the fried shrimp meal. It has 12 shrimp and fries. It also comes with a drink and a push pop desert. My daughter gets the kid's zinger meal. It is not on the menu, but they do have one. It is about 3 to 4 chicken fingers tossed in buffalo sauce.

The adult meals are not expensive at all. I always get the 35 shrimp and it is $9.95 with fries and cole slaw. It is honestly so much food that I end up giving my son about 10 of my shrimp since he is a big eater.

They have a great side salad that can be added for $1.95. One of the best house salads you can find with everything on it including bacon. It is also pretty big. When I go with just my mom to eat, we get the 35 shrimp and a house salad and split them both. Makes it to where 2 people eat for under $12. Of course we always tip as though we had paid more since it is not the server's fault that the plates of food are so big.

We are locals and eat there all the time because the food is good, service is good, and the prices can not be beat.

Is the full name Millers Orlando Ale House? I sure hope so because it sounds like a place my family will enjoy and it accepts the kids eat free card!

We have Miller's Ale House in Miami. The chicken nachos are tasty and enough to share.

I have the kidsmealdeals.com app on my iTouch and they've also got a website where you can put in a specific day of the week for a certain area code. There's not usually a lot available in our area, but I'm sure Orlando has a much better demographic for those deals.

There is an Applebee's located at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista (the one on State Road 535) that has a kids eat free program.

Do you have only 2 kids or 4 kids? I thought you need one each child?

Tony Roma's has a kids eat free night. I believe it's Tuesday.

I preferred to to the restaurant.com gift cards. I usually get the $20 gf for $1 or $2.

I found quite a few restaurants in Orlando that participate.

Sign up to the Sweet Tomatoes programme online, (but not until less than 14 days before you go!) They will send you a BOGOF coupon for a main course, but you can use it for 4, so buy 2 get 2 free. Sweet Tomatoes is great value for money anyway, but even better with a coupon!!

I looked into restaurant.com. I see the restaurants have minimum orders. So if it says minimum of $35 and I have a $20 certificate, am I only paying $15 OOP? Or does the balance have to be at least $35 AFTER the $20 certificate is presented? :confused3
