I made this (all by myself!!! big girl!!) yesterday...try to imagine the little munchkin w/a super cute bow in her (fuzz) hair, white tights, and black maryjanes....would've tried tonight, but, she was heading to bed!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them both! What a precious wee one you have! What a cutie! Great job on the customs! Are you hooked?

Just trying to rack up the posts here :lmao: don't want to drop out of the top 20! (or if I already have, then top 25!)

This is my favorite, it is for the PPP on the 21st. It took me forever to figure out how I wanted to do the shirt. I was going to do a satin stitch around the eye-patch but ran out of thread :scared1: I want one for me! The tulle gathering on the skirt was not bad at all because I used the dental floss method. DD was feeling a little rock 'n' roll I guess because she wanted to pose on the "stage" She LOVES this outfit.

Great job. I really like it.

I really like the T-shirt too. Very cute yet grown-up enough for an older girl.

Such cute cute outfits Jham! I love the Animal Kingdom outfit too! Where did you find the animal fabric?

Thanks! I got it at the Cotton Shop--a sorta quilting store. The green animals one is from a different manufacturer, the others go together in some sort of animal quilt pattern they showed a picture of in the store. I thought they went okay together though.

Just look at that cutest little baby Saylor! That baby smiles like that if you just look at her :lovestruc Now let's see some pics of the other 5 (kids, not outfits)! I wanna see the skirts you made the big girls! And good job on that outfit!

And on this thread it is customary to post prom photos, wedding photos, and pregnancy photos! Bring it on!

AWWWWW!!! I wanna see everyone's pics!!!!

I went to Joanns tonight looking for the new Friends around the World fabric and sniff, sniff they didn't have any! :( But I did manage to get 2 yards of Mickey christmas fabric for next years stash for a whole whoppin $2 a yard. So I guess the trip wasn't completely wasted. :rotfl:

On another note I was googling today to see if I could find a free pattern for a strip work jumper and I came across this http://kandykissesboutique.typepad....?/photos/uncategorized/2008/01/02/grace23.jpg Dunno if I can post the image here or not since it's not my image so I just posted the link. Anyone know of a pattern for this little beauty???

I think you are going to have to modify a pattern for this one. YCMT has a ruffled halter top pattern that you coud use for the top, and do a patchwork skirt for the bottom. I used McCall's 5088 for this top/dress. You could do a patchwork instead for the skirt.

Okay, here are the iron-ons for our trip at least:

I made sweatshirts/pants for the 3 oldest. I used Amy Mickey's basic mickey head shape and used Word and Photoshop to make up my own stuff inside (names, the 4 parks, etc.) It took more time than I had to spend! But they are cute and at a total cost of under $10, not too bad. Not too happy with my Magic Kingdom logo, but no time to worry about it.
th_IMG_0154.jpg

th_IMG_0155.jpg

I did the same thing with these--copied some of Amy's with different names in them and erased the names and put my own in.
th_IMG_0156.jpg

These I had Amy do the whole thing for me. Sorry the picture is so bad. The kids LOVE these! (Spongie, I was putting my Christmas cards away the other day and realized your photo is with the whole family in the Jedi shirts. Loved it!)
th_IMG_0157.jpg

I was at Wal-Mart the other day and saw these "insert your own artwork" sippy cups on clearance, so I bought a couple and printed off some more of Amy's designs and put them in. Both cups say "Lily" and "Walt Disney World 2008"

th_IMG_0153.jpg

These all look great! What a wonderful idea for the sweats!!!

And I NEED one of those sippy cups!!!
thank you and YES she is all better!:goodvibes I am so HAPPY!
I am HAPPY too! I was really quite worried about you guys!

th_Hedited.jpg

BTW where does everyone get their overalls from? Anywhere better than others? These are walmart ones and I must say I am not to fond of them, but that may be more because I picked up a 3 T and she is a 2 T.

You did a GREAT job!!! I love those!!

I think if you search Disney boutique clothing on eBay, you'll find stuff. I mostly lurk on this thread (I love to look at all the pictures), but I seem to remember it being mentioned near the beginning. Also, I'm sure some people here sell their things, but I'm pretty sure they can't advertise here.
A lot of people have their Ebay username in their signatures.
I don't know if anyone remembers me but I was here alot in the summer and then we had a lot of medical issues come up and I was unable to post. I am back and trying to get through this thread! We are going to the World in March and I can't wait. My oldest two will wear customs each day we are there
It's great to see you back again! How are you doing now?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them both! What a precious wee one you have! What a cutie! Great job on the customs! Are you hooked?

THANKS! That's so nice!!!
I am BEYOND hooked! Just wish I would've gotten into it sooner! I would've loved to have had customs for each kid every day...BUT! I'm only human...alas...

Yes, it's me again--last one! (photos not post, I'm going to be up late making bows).

I stayed up until 2:30 this morning making this for DD2 to wear on the airplane. All the white parts are sparkly! What is this sickness?

IMG_0158.jpg

And just for fun (okay, I'm probably the only one having fun here :rotfl: I'm getting a little loopy from lack of sleep) My kids love the coin press machines! So I got these mini m&m containers, emptied them out :rolleyes1 peeled the label off, and stuck some stickers on. I got some shiny new pennies at the bank and stacked 2 quarters then a penny, etc. etc. The quarters fit perfectly! And I won't be fishing through my wallet looking for change every time we pass a machine! Sorry the picture is blurry :confused3

Hi Everyone! I'm loving this thread.

Wonderful Spongemommie sent me over here since I JUST got into sewing. And I mean I just finished a class on Monday night! :lmao:

Dh saw how excited I was and bought me a Disney Brother 270D!!! I have no clue how to use it:confused3 :rotfl: but I'm really eager to learn!

All of these outfits are darling! I'm so inspired to learn. I've been randomly clicking on pages to look at the pictures and read the tips. One of these days I'll have to sit down and go through page by page!

I can't wait to get started but I think I'll start with something easy like Pirate PJ pants for my son! :rotfl2: Keep it simple!

Anyway, wanted to pop on over and say hi. She said I would love it and she's right.

Thanks Spongie! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Check out the photobucket site to see all the outfits, and browse throught the bookmarks for lots of free patterns and tips. And, just a tip for the bookmark site, if you are looking for something specific, the site has a search function that I find VERY useful!

There are a few stripwork skirt directions in the bookmarks. You could then just add a bodice to it.

That dress is really cute! You could use the top of this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=167670.0
And then use one of the patchwork skirt tutorials for the skirt. (There are several in the bookmarks)
