I LOVE that I wish I could applique that well! What new machine did you get? Did I miss it or did you get the Brother too?
AMAZING! I hope to get to this level....someday....
Thank you so much!!! I got the Brother CS=6000i!! Teresa sold it to me for $50!!
No nickname for my machine yet, but I'll think about it! LOL!
How cute are those girls in the bunk bed!! What a cute little tent on top! That looks like such a nice big room with all the furniture you assembled in it! You did a great job with that!
Make sure you post pictures of the peasant top when you get room on the camera!
I'm glad I'm not the only one! I am so jealous of Teresa and Heather, who seem to remember not only the posters but the names of all the kids, too. Everyone should be required to repeat their name and their kids's name when they post (if they want to). That would help me a lot!
Thanks to everyone who complimented me on the dress and hat. It's the first thing I CASEd (from Jham) that turned out exactly like I pictured it! I sent an e-mail to my friend asking if I could make one for her and she told me her daughter was sick of her hair falling out so they just shaved it off. So now I get to make another one, hopefully it won't take as many mess-ups!
I'll catch up reading tomorrow (yawn). Have a good night everyone and get packing Jham! Heather, your birdie looks beautiful!
I honestly don't remember all the names! Just those who post more often. I wish everyone would have their name in their siggy so we know their real names! Plus, refer to their kids by name instead of DD or DS!
How sad that they had to shave her head. I'm sure she's going to love the hat!
Thanks about the birdie!
AWESOME job on the birdie! Don't you just love the machine!
YES!!!

Now I just need more time to use it!
Do you guys have dresses for your girls for everyday? Or do you make shirts and shorts?
Tessa prefers dresses to pants, so I'll probably make mostly dresses. She usually wears some sort of shorts under them because she's not exactly lady-like!

It all depends on what your girls feel most comfortable in.
Thank you and she is feeling "all better". And DO NOT tease us with that fantastic applique! I want to see the entire thing!
And yeah

for going to the potty! My DD was 2 1/2 when she decided she wanted to wear panties. She got up one morning and said she wanted big girl panties and she never wore another diaper! And show us some pics of the new top!!!!!!
The whole thing is currently in pieces!

Every time I try to sew, all sorts of chaos breaks out. Sawyer hasn't been taking very good naps, so I haven't gotten much done lately.
Tessa did the same thing with the potty training. One day she made the decision to use the potty and she never turned back.
I made dresses and skirts only because my DD4 REFUSES to wear pants!

She hates them! I did get her to wear one pair of pants that I made but everything else was skirts or dresses. She walked around all day in them and was very comfortable! She never complained!
Tessa was the same way when she was about 3. She absolutely refused to wear pants or shorts! She now wears pants quite often, but there was quite a stretch where she wouldn't.
Heather what machine did you get? Did I miss it? Can't wait to see Cindy finished!
On a happy note we are going to
Disneyland in May! I have never been there and everyone is quite excited. Dallas is more excited about
legoland and upset because he heard us talking about going to DW this week for a couple of days, but no one felt good (and we would have missed the snow) so didn't go. But he is insisting we hit DW first!
Any ideas for customs? I thought I was done making them for him, but this can be the last hurrah!
I got the Brother CS-6000i from Teresa for $50!!!!
YAY on going to Disneyland. But, don't you think you should go to DisneyWORLD in May? There might just be some people that want to meet you!
If we got in trouble for being off topic, I'd be in heaps! Those are the cutest puppies!!! Thanks for sharing these pictures!
Ok. I have a question for those of you that have a ruffler foot. When you are making a jumper - either stripwork or like the polka dotted one I made - do you ruffle the skirt or just do the basting stitches and gather it? I did the basting stitches on the one I made, but I'm getting ready to put together a stripwork jumper this weekend and I was thinking the ruffler foot may be faster. I just don't know.
I optimized my ruffler, but not well enough to get it exact, so I haven't been successful in using it to attach a skirt to a bodice. But, you could try what the other poster said about under-ruffling and pulling the bobbin thread to get the measurement right.
I think you're putting us on! That can't be your FIRST applique!! It looks terrific!! Wow! I love the twirl skirt and the "ripped jeans mask" too! Your DD is adorable!!
I love the safety goggles!

I thought these were pictures from Steph when I saw the Scrappy look-alike! But, that would be really weird to have snow pictures from her! Sophie looks like a little sweetie and your kids look so cute having fun in the snow!
Are there directions somewhere on how to make the really cute hair bows I see with all the outfits? I would love to make some of these for my goddaughter. I'm no sewer, but I think I might be able to handle hair bows! I have a boy, so I don't get to do all the ruffly girly stuff, so I just love to look at all the cute girl stuff here! Thanks!
There are all sorts of links to bows and hair clips in the sewing links in my siggy. Just look under "hair things"
