OMG!!! I moved 2 days before I had Lily too!! Fortunately it was only across town. But the new driveway is pretty steep and my dad kept yelling at me for walking up and down it!:rotfl:
Here is a picture of us packing up the old house
l_1534130add36f5a20c6bc09a9df0b59b.jpg

That is too funny...I thought I was the only one who was that crazy. We were buying during the market boom and even though we'd been looking we just hadn't been able to get our hands on a house (2 contracts we had fell through and that ate up some time too)

We actually moved from Arkansas to Misssissippi 4 1/2 months before my due date. Who knew it would take so long for our old house to sell & us find a new one. We found one & they took forever to get things ready for the closing & they didn't to the repairs & then there was termite damage so we got out of that contract, but we had to find another house. I was REALLY getting antsy by the end, but I whould have had time to be set up & ready by my due date. Unfortunately, she decided to come early. It was funny our families came down to help us move & then they went home on Wednesday morning & Thursday afternoon I called them all back because my water had broken. I had NONE of the baby stuff unpacked, the nursery furniture was being held at the store. Luckily, they all just picked up & did a lot of things for us. I came home from the hospital & my kitchen was completely fixed up & the nursery was painted.

Okay, I have 1.5 of my tiers sewn together and that is it for today. If only I could have 2 minutes to sew w/out interuption!!! GRRR.

B has a show tonight so I have to go pick up strings and get home to get ready and pack the kids up to go to Jiggy's (that's my mom:upsidedow )

All very nice!

So my dd will not have to have surgery- well not yet anyway. We just have to watch it-the hernia- If is staying out and causing pain then we have to go in. Otherwise they don't want to do surgery until she is about 3. So that means about 2 years of waiting. But maybe it will heal itself in that time, he said it probably won't but you never know. So anyway we can relax for the time being and just keep an eye on it.
Yea for the good news!:thumbsup2

I thought I'd post what I've been working on for the last 100 years. This is Tessa's Cinderella/pumpkin/Fall dress. It's just the bodice so far and I haven't attached the skirt (obviously), or put the zipper in, or pressed those sleeve seams (very important to press your seams ;)). But, I thought I'd share what I have so far so you don't think that all I do is sit around commenting on what everyone else has done and try to steer this thread as far off-topic as possible. :cutie:

OH MY Gosh! That's so unique! I totally love it! What color is the skirt? How did you do that perfect face? I hope she doesn't spill punch on it...

Wendy. thank you for telling her the face looks perfect! She was all paranoid about it looking funny. I tried to tell her, but you know how little sisters can be, they don't always listen to the wisdom of their elderly sisters! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

ooh, I Love this! And since DD LOVES Cinderella, I just may have to run out and buy that pumpkin fabric! They still had a bunch last weekend at my tiny neglected wal-mart fabric shelf. Could never do that great applique though.

Thank you for all you comments on DD4 and her candy corn dress! Like I mentioned it was my first try at sewing so it is as far from perfect as you c an get but still cute!:cutie:

 There will be NO punch near the Cinderella dress! :rotfl:
I drew her face on with a regular pencil and then I embroidered over the lines. Then, I ripped it out and did it again. Then, I ripped it out and did it again. Then, I decided I better leave it alone because the fabric was fraying! I call this Cinderella's surprised, yet suspicious look (one eye is bigger than the other).

What fabric are you using for the skirt part?

And in regards to all the wedding photos, it makes me happy to see so many people married young but still married today.:) :) :)
The skirt will be the same orangey fabric down the middle and the pumpkin fabric on the sides. I did some appliques down the fron of the skirt, too.

I agree with you on the marriage thing. It's so cool! I love my husband more by the day, I really do. We've been together 17 years, so that's a lotta love. Plus, I think he's REALLY cute!!

Me either! She's gonna be so cute!!

Our WalMart ran out of it weeks ago. I hope yours still has it! Teresa gave me the idea to do a Cinderella themed outfit. I think she mentioned before that she's a planner...then I take her ideas!

Here are some canvas bags I bought at Michaels for $3.29 and decorated. I'm going to fill them with stuff to keep the kids busy on our Loooooong drive to Disneyland in 1 week! (The extra bag is for Dnephew who has a looong flight to Orlando next month!)

I think it looks awesome! And I love the colors and the fabrics you used.:thumbsup2

And since it was hanging right there when I was taking photos of the bags, and since I'm getting so close to 100 posts, here is a handy dandy way to store/organize your ribbon. I got the idea from a coworker of DH's. It is a pants hanger from Target. The "arms" swivel out so it's way easy to use!

While out shopping today I stopped into a fancy girl's boutique... the first thing that caught my eye was a tulle tutu. It looked just like the ones I've seen so many people post... elastic waist, tulle tied in knots around the elastic (the only thing added were a very small number of rhinestones). I flipped the tag over to check out the price.... $80 :scared1:

I was floored! They may take a while to put together, but I'd much rather sit in front of the TV tying tulle strips than pay $80.
