This is really cute. What pattern is it? I am thinking it would make a cute Mulan style dress made with some pretty embroidered fabric. I wish I knew the name of it. MMM? The asian style silky fabrics.

I have done a few different things but not sure what the recommended technique is. I have both sewn on ribbon and rick rack and also used fabric glue to attach. I prefer the sewn in look, the glue gives the clothing a stiff feeling. Maybe someone more experienced will chime in here.
I have some ribbon I glued on with liquid stitch and it is starting to come off already. I would definitely stitch all ribbon and ric rac on.

I couldn't miss the opportunity to post a picture of my decoupaged jeans and my little cutie wearing them. I put a strip around the top to "finish" them off.
There's Tessa! Can you do me a favor and post the back? Did you do the ties? When I went to cut them out they seemed way too short so I made them longer and now I think they are way too long. Anyway, great wedding pictures! I will have to dig up mine and scan them in. I think you look like Pam from The Office in the garter one.

( a cover is when someone sings a song originally recorded by someone els....I grew up w/ musicians so I'm not sure if this is just jargon or if it's common knowledge

When I have a pattern that calls for a thread loop, I just make a loop out of narrow elastic & sew it in. I did the thread loop once & it is a pain to get the button through.

Here is the bodice of a Christmas dress I started for DD. I am so proud of myself for trying to appliqué. It is no where near perfect but it looks good from a distance.
