This is a really cute outfit! Did I miss it before?:confused3

A)What kind of adhesive do you recommend for attaching ribbon to an outfit- Jeans or a t-shirt??

B)And does everyone just sew ricky rack- no other adhesive- Just pin & sew??

C)And how do you attach the Minnie bows to the heads of your minnie head shirts??? Pin them to remove for washing, sew in place, glue???

TIA everyone- :cutie:
Wish us Luck for the Dr. for DD- Fingers Crossed!!!

I have done a few different things but not sure what the recommended technique is. I have both sewn on ribbon and rick rack and also used fabric glue to attach. I prefer the sewn in look, the glue gives the clothing a stiff feeling. Maybe someone more experienced will chime in here.

Is it wrong that one of my goals is to make the list of top posters. I will never achieve the success/fame of Teresa or Heather but a girl can dream.

How do you find this out again I can't remember-
How many posts am I at?? Just wondering
Thanks-:)

You need to go back out to the Disney for Families Board, where the threads are listed. Find our Kid's Boutique thread. On the right side, it lists Replies. Click that number (16,858 right now) and a pop-up box appears. That shows you who has posted on the thread and how many times. HTH

Chantell ~ who made the list again! Whoohoo!

i am listening to that song right now i am charging my ipod for our long drive sat .:rolleyes1

Hey Spongie, I almost didn't recognize you without spongebob! I just wanted to say have a great trip! We will going on the exact same long drive just one week after you! Actually our drive will be a little longer, we are staying closer to San Diego. We will be in Legoland on the 28th and not to Disney until the 30th so I guess we won't see you.

DS8 wants to add some smilies :cool1: :cool1:  pirate: :happytv: :wizard: :cool2:

I see I wasn't the only one up late last night!:scared: Stephres_ Love the shirt really cute! This is what I was up doing:

This has been nothing but a thorn in my side from the start! I hope I can finish it today. BTW I HATE RUFFLES!!!!

And I was just thinking "boy, her ruffle looks good!"

GOOD MORNING DISERS!!!!:surfweb: ok. That was all the energy I have for now.

I hope Nicholas is doing better. I wouldn't worry too much, little ones are so resilient. My DS broke both of his wrist bones when he was 18 months old. The Ortho said he'd be in a cast at least 4 weeks. We went back in 2 for a check up and they took his cast off. The Ortho was even surprised. So, you never know.

GRRR... I hate ruffles too. But I agree, w/ steph it will all be worth it when you see that first twirl!!!

And I was just thinking "boy, her ruffle looks good!"

Thanks!! I ripped that ruffle apart so many times last night I ALMOST threw it in the garbage and just started over! But I was to tired to do that, but it finally came together in the end!:)

I've never glued my ricky rack. I just start sewing. If I need a line to follow I will use my ruler that goes with my rotary cutter and a fabric pen and draw one to center the rick rack on.

I pretty much think that you are going to need to tack any bows on by hand sewing. I know that there are some pretty good glues out there, but I can't think of any that would work with a bow that would be pulling and free at the ends.

: I hadn't mentioned it before but having lost my sister for 8 hours (she was kidnapped) I can't imagine what it would have been like to have been missing her for so long. I can't tell you how glad I am that you have found her.

...t.

Kidnapping is scary and something I never want to deal with again. I would not have shared this, but your post made me think of it.

My dd10 was kidnapped when she was a few months old. She was taken from a church nursery. My dh was out of town and I had no family in the area so I had no body to lean on. We did get her back and she was fine. It was somebody we knew that took her.

The person that took my Susie gave birth around the time I did. She gave her baby up for adoption. She told the person in the nursery that I told her to pick up Susie for me. She then took the baby and left the church. Her mom was the one that brought Susie back to me and told me her dd would be getting help for depression.

To this day I have trouble letting my dc out of my sight for any amount of time. The church we go to now requires id cards that match a tag the dc wear for pick up.

Sorry for going on about this. I try not to think about it and don't normally talk about it. This is the first time I have shared this with people I don't really know well.

Oh my gosh, what a terrible story! I am so glad that your DD was found safe and sound. Thanks for sharing.

How horribly terrible and scary! Especially with Dh out of town. I don't think I could let my kids out of sight after something like that, either.

Well, my little peanut came off the school bus feeling poorly so I haven't got much accomplished this afternoon. I was able to finish this while she was napping:

HeatherSue: I am going to start on that top tonight. Wish me luck!
Aw, I hope your littls sweetie is feeling better today (I'm a little behind on the thread, can you tell?). Your DS is SOOO cute!!! He's like a handsome version of Megan! What absolutely beautiful (don't tell him I said that) children you have! Good luck on the shirt. Knowing you, you've already posted a picture of it, but I haven't got that far yet.

Oh we "snuck" :tiptoe: over to our neighbors pool, one full moon several summers ago and they came home early!!! One of the best/funniest times of our lives!!! Two "chubby" naked heinies running across a yard. If we were seen, people would never have recovered from laughing!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
AAHHHH!!!!! I am laughing so hard!! :rotfl: That is HILARIOUS!! We actually had permission to use our neighbor's pool while they were away, but I don't think they meant we could "use" it in the way we did! :rolleyes1 You know, my sister's right. They never did say we could use the pool again. I often wonder if they had security cameras...

hey you started it-you said you liked Cedar Point :rotfl: And yep I like Disaster transport. I also like the beach behind it. And I LOVE the Blue Streak!

Which side of Gemini do YOU ride? LOL

Besides you KNOW those of us from Michigan-we like what we like!
Disaster Transport??? Come on! The MAGNUM RULES!!!

I know from experience, that it does not take much to break a foot bone. I tripped over a dang mop in Nov. and knew the minute I went to stand up, the foot was broken. The pain was unbelievable. My problem was that I broke a non healing bone. Lucky me. I was in a cast and wheelchair for 6 months. Dr. should have put a pin in it and I couldn't talk him into it for anything!! Not that I wanted surgery, but I sure didn't want to sit in a wheelchair doing nothing for 6 months.

Now isn't that just like a "man"! Not wanting to go to the Doctor. haha. I know Nicholas will be better in no time.

Wow! Thank you for sharing. Kidnapping is such a frightining experience and it will stay with you forever. I was nearly taken when I was 9. Long story short I had a knife at my throat and got away. I am now scared of the dark and watch my kids like a hawk! Even when they are playing in my back yard I am near a window where I can see them. If they go out of my sight I start yelling for them.

I always park my car under lights in parking lots, walk with my keys in my hand and lock my door as soon as I get into my car and into my house. It is just something I do to make myself feel safe.

I am so glad that your DD is ok and that she was returned. I am also very happy to hear that they require ID to pick up your child. It is so sad that it has come to that, but anything we can do to protect our children I am for.

Ok, off to happy thoughts now! :)

I bought the design off of Ebay. I can't remember right off which store. I think it was called Paige on Vacation or something like that. She even had a family one and some others.

Casey

I found it. She has a cute one of disney girl holding a mickey balloon. Thanks alot!! I love this applique.

NO MOPPING OR LAUNDRY NOW, THEY ARE BOTH TOO DANGEROUS!!!! Haha my DH will never go for that!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
