Thanks for the tips on the tutu! Here is Laila in my first attempt. I will def. try looser knots next time!

I have to tell you- yes she is sticking out her tongue. I had just let them try some Crystal Light for the first time. Needless to say- they loved it!

Laila- I love this princess shirt. It has a floaty attached piece for Aurora's dress

Your kids are ADORABLE!!! And the tutu is great! How do you make those? I think it looks great!

Here are finally some posts of my DS4 and DS8. I think they are wondering why I only ever post photos of their sisters. These are the flannel pj bottoms I made them (pretty much the easiest item to make of all) and appliqued some cheap T-shirts.

DS4 with Buzz Lightyear PJs, a scratch on his neck from his brother, and the goofy expression of a 4 year old boy

I hope I didn't already post this one. If I did sorry! DS8 in Yoda PJs, insisting on doing some imaginary light saber maneuvers typical of an 8-year-old boy

th_DSCN2472_edited-1.jpg

I bought both of these flannels at Joanns and they are very thick and soft! Even more so after I washed them. I want some PJs too! I also happened to find some matching yoda fleece at Walmart so I bought it to make a matching blanket.

What hansome boys!!! They are both so cute! The pajamas look great!

COOL! I live in the Spring Hill area - we're pretty close! We should get together and sew sometime!

Actually they had a shirt only that was in adult sizes. They didn't have just the shirt in kids sizes, so I had to buy the kit. The ones in adult sizes were actually a little better, but I don't remember the price.

Wow I did not know that yes we are close. We looked at a house in SH but DH works in Palestine and at the time he wanted to move closer. See how well that worked out for him. :rotfl: My youngest little one coming is 5 but I think I am going to hold her out of school when she gets here she is just to young for K. She needs more time to get her life stable. Anyway the girls will be able to play a bit maybe. ;) Plus I could sure use someone to look over my shoulder and ask me why I am doing that and show me how lol.

I will check tonight if I get a chance, I have to go buy more smoke alarms at Lowes tonight anyway. We have a Fire inspection tomorrow ... just got done with Health and we made 100 ya lol.

Momfam~ That tutu is precious especially with the Aurora shirt! Love that picture. :P

1. Apparently great minds think alike. you have max and laila...Mine are Mac and Lily (thought DS's real name is Gavin..my maiden/his middle name starts w/ McC and Mac is OBVIOUSLY a family nickname...sometimes we call Lily "Cheese":cutie: )
2. Would you look at those cute little redheads...I bet they're just rotten. I know how those redheaded kids are!!:rotfl:

OK this is a little off subject....Ok WAY off subject, but does anyone know where you can find the fuschia and purple disney crocs? I see them on ebay, but never in my daughter's size. She is really wanting a pair and I don't know where to get them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA:)

I believe the fuschia and purple are theme park exclusive. You can call the merchandise number for WDW 407-363-6200 and they can send them too you for the price + shipping. I hope this helps.

UtahMama - glad you're back! Can't wait to see pics from your trip!!

MoeFam- what a couple of cuties you have! Love the tutu!

I had the harsh realization that is is OCTOBER! That means I have a mere two months before our trip - ACK! I have many more customs to make and many pounds to lose! These two months are going to fly by - I hope I can get it all done!!

I have, however, finished the scary princess/witch costume for DD. I was trying to get her to make a scary face, but she just kept looking at her brother. Also, it doesn't show up real well in the pic, but the black fabric has silver glitter all through it, so the silver rick rack ties in much better in person.

scaryprincess1.jpg

So, now to go and rip yards and yards of muslin for a mummy costume. . .

Thank you! We are going in November and we can get them there. She will be sooo excited!:woohoo:

Okay, I had to take some time off from this board -- I found myself reading more than I was sewing. We've been back from Disneyworld for 3 weeks now and I thought it was time that I posted a few pics and bare my soul to you all. It's time for True Confessions...Disney edition...

My name is Brenna, and I took my sewing machine to Disneyworld with me. You heard that right ladies and Tom -- I didn't get done with all the outfits I had planned, so my machine made the 8 hour trip to Mickey's house. I stayed up really late the night before we left trying to finish DD's Epcot outfit. I got overtired and just couldn't finish. As I crawled into bed, I told my DH how sad I was that Lily wouldn't get her last outfit and he sleepily replied that he had left a spot in the van for my machine. How I love that man!

Anyway -- here are a few pics of the twins. There are no good ones that show their outfits. The unfortunate thing about photographing almost 2 year old twins is that they never stop, and they are consistently 10 feet apart if you let them out of the stroller. There was even one set of customs that I didn't even get one picture in. Frustrating...but this is my life. Now I have to finish Halloween and Christmas outfits.

Oh, and by the way -- the Doodlebops put on quite a show. My kids are Doodlebops crazy (hence the overalls for their performance at MGM). DH and I were not so crazy about them until we saw them live. They are terrific performers and you can tell they genuinely care about children. And now DH thinks that DeeDee Doodle is hot...:rolleyes1

And my favorite --- this is how you know the trip to Disney was worth the $$$

Wow! You took your sewing machine!:worship: :worship: :worship: Very cute pictures and babies (and outfits)! My DD2 is also named Lily! I think there are several here.

How adorable are they! Did you make the doodlebop ones too? I LOVE them all! I thought about taking my machine, seems I always wake up earlier then everyone else but decided that would wake them up!

Halloweentwins, I can't believe you took your sewing machine with you! It was obviously worth the extra effort! Adorable outfits and kiddos!

For those of you with High School Musical obsessed little girls, there is a really cute set on :wizard: - search Custom Boutique Lil Peas High School Music@l! Dress HSM.

:goodvibes
WOW!!! That is SOOOO weird!!!! MY mom took Lydia and my neice and nephew to the zoo today too!!!!
:lmao: At least I cracky msyelf up!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:
Yeah, at least you "cracky" yourself up. ;) I would just like to apologize for my sister's spelling. She had ITA (a weird phonetically spelled way to teach kids to read) in elementary school and still hasn't recovered. Now, what's my excuse? :rolleyes1

Hey guys I have been out of the loop a minute. We ended up moving and we have been hard and heavy at the adoption. I had to postpone my sewing class as well because of the adoption and my youngest bio is supposed to have some surgery in Nov. With the adoption it is looking like I will have my 4 little ones before Halloween.:scared:
Wow! Congrats on the adoption!   Keep us up to date on your little one's surgery. It sound like you'll be having a busy couple of months!

Can't help you with the crocs. But, haven't you noticed that we are almost always "off topic"? Heck, what is the topic on this thread, anyway? :rotfl2:
So, we need a new rule, no apologizing for being off-topic! Sorry, wasn't yelling at you. I just know that most don't read my obnoxiously long multi-quotes and I didn't want them to miss the new rule! :lmao:

I wonder if I am the only one who feels B-O-R-I-N-G when you talk about the fun life you lead!?!?!?!?! I need to get my husband a more interesting hobby than watching ESPN!
Nope, add me to the list! :lmao: about the ESPN!

SO incredibly cute! I love how you let them both stand on the table. I may have to try that next time! Of course, DS1 tends to get up there all on his own!

A) the rockband was for the Disboutique Krewe! cause according to Pixiedust in AK, we rock.
B) Brandon would think it's funny that you think our life is exciting. Especially since one of his upcoming gigs is at an ice cream parlor Which sounds funny but it's a really "hip" place, they do ice carvings on the sidewalk...chainsaws and all. He misses his :rockband: days. He considers what he's playing now "adult comtemporary accoustic" and it's for OLD people. Which, we clearly are...he's in denial. No, he loves playing accoustic music...it let's him showcase his lyrics b/c ppl really LISTEN to it. But misses all that jumping around on stage and jamming out stuff.

BTW (shameless plug) anyone who has not heard him can check him out at www.myspace.com/workingclassproject or on Neil Youngs website http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/lwwsongspage.html currently at #68 (Lesser of 2 Evils by Brandon Ruck)
I just checked out his music and I must be OLD because I really like it!:lmao: In fact, I'm listening Lesser of 2 Evils right now.

How adorable! It looks like you did a great job on this one. It doesn't look easy, either!!

The crocs were at disney last week in fushia and purple. First time I had seen them, they had tons of them of course! I also saw some yellow ones clearanced, but not all of them, it was weird.

Guess what I did today? I made this!

DD LOVES HSM and I wanted something "washable' she could wear to the parks.

I started with a pattern and then did it my own way.

yeah it is done!!!!!

Ok, here is a couple of more outfits...Our DS is not too excited about: 1) posing for this picture 2) having to dress like his sister :sad2: OH WELL it's just for one day...it's not going to kill him. I also included one of the pics I already included to show they "match"
(Our Minnie outfit is kind of big still, need to have it taken in a little bit)

I posted this earlier in another thread...My mother went to Disney Land when she was 5 (I believe) in 1959, today she gave her souvenir charm bracelet to my DD....isn't it sweet? It looks pretty good, it's a little tarnished, I am going to take it to our jeweler and see if they can "spruce" it up a little.
