It looks like it's a pillowcase dress, which part are you wondering about?

OT- My DH and 10th class reunion is next month. For us to go it is $150. Are we being cheap by not wanting to go. It just seems like a lot of money for dinner and a two hour open bar at the local Sheraton.

$150- That is dinner at the Crystal Palace and breakfast at 1900 Park Fair in December. -or- 2 Princess costumes and a trip to BBB. -or- the electric bill.:rotfl:

My 10-year was about that much for DH and I (plus the cost of a new outfit :rotfl: ). I really wanted to go... I had lost contact with everyone from school and thought it would be a great way to see everyone and catch up (and to be honest, I had lost about 60 pounds between HS and then and wanted to show off a little :rolleyes1 ). But it was terrible... the food stunk, drinks were not included (cash bar), and I quickly remembered why I hadn't stayed in touch with my classmates. DH and I left after a little bit and went to IHOP for waffles!

Needless to say we won't be going to my 20th.

Sorry if I missed your question before. I made that little dress. I basically followed pillowcase dress instructions. The main fabric was a pillowcase which I just shortened and added the border at the bottom. I traced and cut the MICKEY out of the red fabirc and used iron on adhesive to secure the letters and then stitched around them with a zig zag stitch. Then I attached the whole yellow band to the main part of the dress and added the ric rac across the seam.
At the top, I made a narrow casing on the front and the back and put elastic in it to gather it up. Then I cut J shaped holes for the armholes and finished them with bias tape.

I hope that makes a little sense. I sort of winged it on that one! Let me know if I can explain it any better.

What a cutie! Looks like she had a wonderful time on her trip!

We can't wait to go! Only 7 more days for us!

Let's see, still have to make a couple of more customs, have to work, have to pack, have to sleep sometime (eh, who needs sleep, when you have Dt. Pepsi Max!;) ). So much to do.... so little time!

Could you please please please post them again? I think you will need to recopy the IMG code and repost them. I am guessing when you edited tehm it changed the location on photobucket. If you just edit your first post, you could make the changes there.

When I copy the link in your posts, it takes me to a page on Photobucket that says, "Page not found"

Didn't you make the dress T. is asking about? The Mickey Mouse pillowcase dress?

I'm having photobucket issues! :headache: OK, I redid all the links, so hopefully the pictures on my original post are working now. Let me know! If they atill aren't showing up, I don't know what to do!

Weren't you just in a wedding? Couldn't you wear that dress? It was really pretty.

Yes. . I was and the dress was beautiful. . . just everyone else that is going is wearing little black dresses and I will stick out MAJOR (and the "girls" too) if I wear that little red number!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, what's wrong with those people wearing borig old black?? ;) Well, you looked great in that dress!

Well, we just got back Monday night from a great Disney cruise and 4 nights at the Poly. We had a wonderful time. I can't tell you all the attention DD got from her outfits...the CMs and characters loved them, and people stopped me several times a day to ask where I got her outfits. :goodvibes One lady stopped us just to take a picture of her pirate outfit, and a really nice CM on the ship took DD around to show her outfit off to other CMs...it was pretty cool!

Here a some pics with some of her outfits. It's sad, but there were a few she never wore. Oh well, maybe a good excuse to go back again soon! ;)

Oh my gosh!!! Thank you so much for posting those again!!! She looks STUNNING in everything!!! WOW!!! I love them all!

Your daughter is beautiful and those outfits are just perfect...I know what you mean about not wearing everything...unless Makayla changes twice a day, she'll never wear all of her outfits either! But I had fun planning and sewing...

Already checked in on line tonight...just a few more hours and I will be there...home at SSR...can't wait...looking forward to those dinners with Storybook Princesses just to see Makayla's reaction...I love being a grandma!

It was about that for my class reunion also. We decided not to go, not really because it was way tooo much money.. but anyone I liked from high school I know what they are doing now. and honestly I do not want to catch up on old times with people that obviously did not meant that much too me if we had not kept in touch. It would be for curiosity sake only! and $150 is not worth the curiosity. I say do the disney thing instead. that will be a lasting positive memory everyone can share!!
