Post 250.. post 255 has a pic.
Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite Holidays - no presents to buy, and great food! It is also DS's birthday so of course it needs customs!!
I loved your Turkey outfit, it gave me some motivation to get started on mine!! (And it seems to be doing good over on Voldemort...are we still using that code word?!)
I've started DD's Turkey outfit. The first one is for my neice. The top is done - it's a little longer without the ruffle, and the turkey applique is done. I like DD's set even better! I used the brighter red (the ruffle on the jeans) and a darker pair of jeans. The colors really pop on the new set. Got a question for everyone, Should I do the applique like the first set using the turkey fabric, of using different fabrics. (like the tailfeathers) Here's a pic. as a reminder.

The picture doesn't show how red the bottom ruffle is.
Alright here is the double layer twirl skirt that I made to match the lime green mickey head tee. I didn't use a pattern so I think it may be a little too twirly but oh well. I hate to pay for something that I think I can figure out for myself. The girls like them and I got a cool from a friend that was over so I guess they'll work.

What do you think? You guys have given me such great ideas! I am going to start on my other daughter's dress now. I got a black and white polka dot material, and I am going to accent with red. I love this topic!
Where oh where did you find that fabric??? I LOVE It!!!!!
Really cute outfit - can one really have too much twirl?

I just can't stop crying. I don't remember AKsunshine, but I remember her little girl from the pictures on here. Little Levi was only 17 months old. My son is 16 months old, so this hits really close to home. He was a beautiful little boy. Tessa is sitting next to me and when I told her why I was crying, she said "He is safe with God."
Sorry that I haven't commented on the outfits and such, but I am so upset right now.
That is beautiful. Your daughter looks like a little princess...WOWAnastasia now asks where she is! Thank goodness nicholas can't talk otherwise he will be asking also! So, Here is Anastasia in a great snowflake outfit. I did not make it I can not take credit for it! There is a pettiskirt under the top skirt.

Really cute...what did you use for the applique on the shirt? Isn't that hello kitty fabric adorable?I finally dusted off my sewing machine, and got to work...and completed my first project. Keep in mind that I am a newbie at sewing, so it is definitely not perfect. I made the skirt, but the t-shirt is from Target...do you think the skirt look OK with it, and do you think the skirt is wearable by my 4 yo to the pumpkin patch field trip on Monday? Since this is my first skirt, I am just really paranoid that it just scream "IMPERFECT" to everyone! I am really not sure about my fabric choice....what do you think?
One day, I hope to be just as creative as all of you here...but for now, I am sticking with the simple things!

So, I have to ask! Where have you guys found the adorable green/purple polka dot fabric to go with the previous Tink and this Monsters outfit???
I feel for you Leslie!!!!!!!!! Go to Joann's and get what you need, but also take a therapeutic stroll around the fabric dept!!!!
Here's dd2's Monsters Inc outfit that she's been wanting. I made a matching skirt last night, but haven't gotten pics yet. I will get it on her before lunch, I promise!!! I used a pair of corduroy's that she already had, I wasn't sure about the decoupage on corduroy, but it works great! I've also started using a nailbrush (for cleaning fingernails) to gently start the fraying of my patches.
TIP for decoupage: If you didn't know this already double stitch your patches!!!!!! The HSM jeans I made for dd8 & dd7 are starting to fall apart! Now I stitch around about 1/4" in from edge, then again about 1/8" inside that. It makes the world of difference!!!

I'm so sad over the death of the little boy! I didn't "know" AKSunshine, but as a mama, I can relate. SOOOOO sad!
