Never saw cars fabric for a girls outfit- it is SOOO CUTE!!! Well all of them are cute but especially that one. My DD loves the cars songs she just starts bopping around when she hears them. Of course Cars is my DS favorite!!

Teresajoy- That was a mickey head countdown- 29 DAYS!!!! :woohoo: It was a CASE from another thread- And so fun to make. Of course it took a few trips to HD to "collect" all the heads :rotfl:

Here are some of our outfits we have for our upcoming Disney Trip.Buying the outfits have been just as much fun as planning for the trip....Can't wait!!!!

Those outfits are all so cute, as is your DD!!!

 :cool1:  :cool1: Well we are leaving in two days!!!:cool1:  :cool1:

I am almost done with my DD one outfit that I made. I have to finish up the waistband and make a bow for the shirt. I am also making my mom a matching shirt too. I haven't told her I made anything, she is going to be so impressed and surprised. :woohoo:

I will post pics of my daughter in it before we leave. We are all getting so excited. My mom is flying down from NY to meet us too, so I am excited to see Mickey and my mom!!

Not Disney related, but I need ideas for Ilana's birthday outfit! We're using this theme (the pink and purple w/ the girl in the hat). http://www.factorycard.com/cat_Birthday-1st-Birthday_1281.html

I was going to try and go to the store today to look at patterns after AJ went to school to see if it sparked something. Anyone have any pics of something they've done for a birthday? She'll be the big 1 a month from today and we're using lavender as the color to go w/ the stuff. Thanks!
My dd will be 1 on Nov. 8! They are really close! We too are lokking for a birthday outfit! I really like the tutus but afraid to try!

a stripwork top or dress would be cute and super easy. Looks like the little girl's face on the decorations would be a simple applique for the bodice.

I just made DD2 a Faeries dress from a pattern similar to (possibly the same as) your ariel dress-TOO cute. I know it's not really a "custom" but its a nice extra outfit to have on hand.
I LOVE the minnie outfit it is GREAT!!!

She picked out the main fabric (stripes and flowers with browns and pink) and I added the rest.

Not sure if you can tell or not but we did the eyes and haircolor the same as her daugther and her name was Laylah and she wanted them personalized. They turned out even cuter in person!

Those are so cute! I love the cupcake. What kind of fabric did you use for the face/hat? It kind of looks like flannel or felt is why I asked and I am thinking of trying that.

Okay, I feel like I'm leaving you out Lisa. I am in awe of everything you create so, sometimes I forget to actually tell you that. The chip and dale sets are great!!! Maybe I can do a mickey and minnie themed set for DD and DS...Although after the mickey head applique I'm not sure I'm ready to move on to something w/ a face!!:rotfl:
Also the ragedy ann outfit is BEAUTIFUL!!! What an excellent job you did!! I've been thinking of doing something w/ holly hobby- who was my childhood favorite. The sherbert colored patchwork dress you posted w/ zoe in the straw hat reminded me of that too.

Egads!!! I missed out on a lot!

We just got back last night and I'm pooped! I'm hating unpacking and alllllll the laundry that needs to be done.

I came home to a mystery smell that I finally identified as coming from the garbage disposal. BLahK! :snooty:

Heyyyyy! I met Tom!!!! He's really a cutie too! He and his wife were the BEST Tweedles ever! And his dd is just gorgeous as Alice

Glad you're back! Hope you had a great time! He (Tom) posted and said that he had met you! Good luck with the laundry!

Okay, anyone doing the tulle twirl skirt from YCMT, do you hate the way she tells you to ruffle? I am currently ruffling about 15 feet of fabric for my 2 year old's skirt and she says to use a wide zig zag stitch and put elastic thread down the middle of the zig zag as you sew. After you are done, pull and gather. I HATE THIS! I have always used the basting stitch way of ruffling and like it better (no reason why that can't be done with this but I figured I'd try something new). Just wondering if anyone else is having any problems with this, my elastic has snapped twice now. Just getting frustrated and wanted to vent a little. Back to gathering I go!

I have this machine. I really like it. They only thing is only get it if you plan to use the embroidery patterns a lot. Otherwise I'd get the brother 6000 (something like that). I embroidery aspect makes the machine more complicated. Overall I really like it. I got mine on ebay for 275 new including shipping costs, so check that out if you are comfortable. Good luck!!

    Oh No!!!!! The tag fairy just got me good! See this is what happens when you complain! :scared: :rotfl2::rotfl2: Thank you Mrs. Fairy! ;)
BUA-HA HA HA!!!!!

That is the BEST! :rotfl2:
Hi Gang! Live from Disney!

I met UtahMama briefly tonight and saw her family, what a cutie she has in Norah! Their costumes were great!

We had sooooooo many great comments on our costumes tonight!

Really all week so far!

Here are a few photos from tonight!

I will be sure to post more pictures when I get back!

See? Look how cute they are!!!!

Tom- Those are some pouffy sleeves! Are they stuffed with Walmart bags? ;) I love that your dd matches the "real" Alice!!!!

Norah didn't get to wear the Alice costume!!!! I saved it for our very last day for 1900 Park Fare and it poured rain. So, I thought I'd save it for Halloween here. BAH!

I did that one and I did the regular basting stitch for the gathers, which was quite hard with that tiny bit of fabric she gives you for the ruffle. And don't get me started on the tulle. I read the part about cutting it five time and then gave up and pinned it around the skirt and didn't cut anything. Next time I make it I'll make the ruffle bigger. Anyway, you are not alone!
