OMG< I can not use this E6000 glue. I read the back. Can cause cancer it says. DOes anyone know of a safer fabric glue? please help. I put gems on my DDs jumper with this before I read the label. I can not use this anymore. Help

I use Aleene's Jewel-It. I just re read the label and it doesn't say anything about causing cancer. Says "superior formula for bonding hard to hold jewels" And it says it is washable.

anyone know how to make the Bellabebeco Gaucho Pants? is it a rectangle strip work or are the strips flared?
TIA
Lori

The strips are flared. The measurement at the top should be 2.5" wide and the bottom should be 5" wide. You can make them whatever length you like. HTH!

Seeing how she's all dressed in her princess stuff, I thought she was doing her VERY BESTEST curtsey!! If that was me..... I'd still be stuck on the ground trying to get up!!!

I thought that when she first started bending over, because she does do one fantastic curtsey, but then the fingertips went up, and I knew what she was doing!

Well, since you asked, I'd be happy to share. I just don't want to flood the thread with photos of Zoe... no matter how beautiful I think she is. :rotfl:

Oh my, you should see some photos I have of what she thought were great model poses. LOL Well, since I'm already sharing so many photos of her today, I'll add a couple more.

Zoe's idea of how a model stands... I'm not sure where she got the idea models pose with their tongues out at all times. This is definite blackmail material for the future. :rotfl2:

GORGEOUS dresses!!!! Thanks for sharing them!! I love the "model pose" too! Lydia has some of those as well!
Thankyou! It's actually smocking, and I've got a pleater machine that puts the pleats in for me to do the actual fancy work by hand on top of the pleats.

Woops, that's what I meant!! I gusee I had shirring on the brain!!

Do you mean this one? I swear, she's using the troll's nose to keep from falling off his foot but the photo definitely looks like something else is happening. ;)

I don't know about Rodeo Drive but I am working with a woman to try to get a children's clothing line launched. It's still in the planning stages so I'm not counting any money yet but it's an awesome opportunity even if we don't hit it big.   We're trying to find a reliable factory to manufacture the garments. We'd hoped to have our first collection ready for Spring of 2008 but it's looking more likely that we'll go for Fall 2008. There's so much more to it all than I'd ever considered but it's something I dreamed of doing since high school... although at that time I wanted to design for adults but doing kid's clothes is definitely more fun.

First :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love the troll picture!
Second: WOW on starting up your own clothing line! I hope all goes well with that. You are SOOOOO talented!!!!

Well this is not a custom and she's not making a face, but I love this picture of my 4 year old. This was taken at Epcot last year. She actually slept through the Survivor concert they had in the outside amphitheatre in front of American Adventure . I call it the pooped princess

Aww, I love it!! How sweet.
If this is the girl I'm thinking of, I do think it's natural for her. From what I've heard, I don't think her mom would intentionally have her do that. It's amazing how much kids pick up without the adults realizing so the girl may be doing it more consciously as she's gotten older.

I wonder if this is the same girl I'm thinking of then. Starts with an S ends with an E and has an O in the middle? May be an F sound in there too. I don't see how her pouts can not be intentional, I thought that was her "look". She is absolutely stunning though when she's not making that face.

MY dd3 does the tongue thing too. I should post my many bloopers. Like when she said she was "shaking her money makers" OHHHHH! I promise I have no idea who taught her THAT! So smart to save them for the teenage years....
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm laughing so hard I can barely breathe!!!

I think they look fantastic!!
I love this set, it looks so cute!

You know the first day of school has gone better than I thought. I did not cry although I felt like I was going to throw up. DD loved it and kicked DH and I out of the classroom.

Everyone commented on how cute and coordinated she was:cutie: She was a little overdressed compared to the other kids but . . . that is how she is comfortable dressing. We call her the Queen of the Sundress. I really think she is going to love school.

Sorry, she does not speak monkey. I guess I failed her:rotfl2: Her Daddy called her Princess Sock Monkey today. That did not go over well.

Stroller Shoes I love it. Only if I could get Princess Sock Monkey to sit in the stroller.

Try to notice the necklace. I made it too. I has monkeys!

She looks adorable!!!!! You did a wonderful job on this set!!!
I love the backpack that's almost as big as she is too! How did she stay upright? :rotfl:
This was posted on another board I belong too. We don't have a Joann's :( but I figured someone here could use it.

OOOOOH!!!! Thank you!!!!

Here, here! I have the same problem - but you know what? My kids - I get to dress them HOWEVER I WANT! (at least until they're old enough to start fighting me on it!).

I agree!!!
One of friends used to comment that she never saw my DD in the same outfit twice. I laughed and told her to stop complaining she is one of the one that benefits when my DD outgrows something! (Her DD is a year younger). Now she asks if I take requests :lmao:

When I went back home to visit my family this summer (to Michigan Teresajoy LOL) I overheard two of my cousins saying they wanted to "smack me down" because my DD was so well dressed and so polite (my kid? Nah!). They said I made them look bad. LOL

Maybe they would look like these?
Okay, I thought I would "spice" up a set I am currently making and got all excited painting these shoes. I just was in the mood to be a little "non traditinal" LOL!

minnieshoes.jpg

Hey, we did a trial run with these at Disney the other day. They got loads of compliments, but for those of you who wanted to CASE these, leather is not the way to go. I would use some canvas sneakers instead. Use an acrylic mixed with textile medium.
The leather sneakers were not a good palette for the paint or the ric rac.
The paint cracked and peeled. OOPS! And the ric rac needs a good fabric glue!
But like I said, I was glad to give them a trial run and experiment before I actually made them for anyone ;)

WOW -- everyone's creations are wonderful.

Work is a bear right now -so I'll just be lurking for the next couple of weeks. Keep up the good work everyone!!

Oh that maybe. I just wondered why the pout when she has a beautiful smile and it seems more age appropriate and natural.

The sock monkey outfit is complete!!!

Here you go. I have to get up in five hours to get DD ready for school the last thing I needed to do tonight was paint shoes!!!! I am glad I did.

SO adorable! I can't wait to see a pic of her wearing it!!

You know we wanna see the whole outfit modeled! Great job on the shoes!

Hope it's ok if I use them too? I like the NBC outfits, but never had the desire to make one since I do no like the movie (sorry:guilty: ). But now that dd16 has seen some, she is dying for me to make one for dd2. I'm just waiting for her to decide on fabrics, she keeps changing her mind.

Ok, now for my latest. This is my first attempt at Mickey heads, and I think they turned out ok. I posted an up close pic of my stitches so I can get some feedback on if this is what they are supposed to look like. I forgot to add stabilizer to the back, thankfully they worked ok. The pants I found at a yard sale while on my search for "practice clothes" and the top I made using the justtutes? pattern. What do you think?

Greta job! I love how you used opposite fabrics for the top and pants. The Mickey heads look amazing - way better than mine could!

Also, I hesitated to post this because the pics aren't that great. But, I tried to make this tutu skirt and it looks poofy. I've not had any luck with that pattern and I'm done with it!!!!! Anyway, I made another peasant top and I'm liking that style! DD8 loves it, so that's all that matters.

I think is looks great - and DD's smile says it all!

As for shrinking pics type "th_" right before the name of the pic. When you quote the pic it will show as a http:// gag;ajkg. hglagj;a.disney.jpg[img]
type the th_ after the "." and right before the word "disney" in the example...Does that make sense???
I just wanted to add that the th_ only works for photos downloaded from photobucket. I have been using tinypic - so it doesn't work - it will remove the pic. I will have to check photobucket out next time since most everyone here seems to use it.

She looks so adorable. Something tells me she will continue to be "overdressed" compaired to the others!;) That is if she is anything like my DD - or should I say - if you are anything like me! LOL

ºoº:grouphug: (Mickey hugs). I promise if they make me come home AGAIN next year, I will visit. We can go to Frankenmuth (hummm German boutique clothes....:lmao: )

Funny, I've lived here all my life, but I've NEVER been to Frankenmuth! We always laugh though, when we are in Florida and see signs for it!

OK.... taking on the newly received info on how to multi quote on the DIS, I will now attempt my first multi quote EVER!!!

Oh man..... I'm really scared!!

You may be able to get her into the stroller if you teach her monkey!! Geesh!!!! Everyone knows that!!

I totally understand what you're saying Momma! I don't watch the news myself much these days because everything seems so negative and bad.

Good for you Aimee!! I have always subscribed to the belief that you don't have to have everything, and be of the latest style etc, but you should always be clean and neat looking in your appearance. The outside does reflect the inside in many ways.

OK now.... let's see if I did this multi quote thing right (I'm gonn a be so embarassed if I didn't!)

OMG!!!! I am such a dork!
I can't even multi quote right!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well...... maybe I'll try again, and maybe I won't! Just depends on wheteher I want to humiliate myself :rotfl: again! LOL!!!!

LOL - do try again! I need to try it myself so I am not posting a million posts to the thread! Kudos to you for trying!;)

I was looking at sewing machines that will sew through multiple layers, and particularly denim...what kind of sewing machine do you use?

A Janome 30 stitch auto lock electronic was recommended by a sewing machine store, 2007 model factory refurbished for $249. It is supposed to stitch through 7 layers.

I have that great Kenmore computerized machine for 25 years, but I have problems with the presser foot being too low and the needle breaks with denim.

that explains why some of the pics disappear...learn something new everyday:thumbsup2
