Good job! I have two peasant tops on my to-sew list, how easy or hard was it?\

It was easy. And I have my second one all cut out already. I think this one will go faster since I know where I am going :)
I used this one...

Go for it!:cheer2:

Choo Choo Soul! What fun!
Osh Kosh has train conductor overalls. We got out DD one with a skirt in pink with the white stripes but I have seen the denim ones with the white stripes. You could embellish a pair of those.
Our local Osh kosh outlet had them a few weeks ago.

That should be a fun concert!

No Eyeore's Tiara. We are going to New York and then to WDW. We re also stopping to Malaysia on the way out and on the way home. We were in WDW last year in May with only our family , we are bring two other families from Australia this time. So 12 in total look out WDW. I have been to Texas though. My DH and I were there in 1998 before kids. He was working at Lovedale Airport(I think that is what it is called in Dalls) for a few weeks and we stayed in Dallas for about 4 weeks then headed of to have a look around. I just love it. We have been to LA, Gran Canyon. Las Vegas, Yosemite, Seattle, and some time in Canada. I would come ever year if we could afford it. Actually I would love my DH to come and work in the US for a year or so. He is an Aircraft Maintence Engineer so he could do a job swap but he is not sure. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Love field airport! My dh works at DFW airport, the other one in Dallas. You were really close to where we are! It's a small world isnt it? 12 people? Wow, that's a large group. THere will be nine in our travelling party. I hope it just makes it alot more fun....:thumbsup2 I wanted to come to Australia this year, but I let the kids choose where to go and they chose Disney... LOL ... I should have known.... It was for the best, with all the medical things that hit us.

So do you fly through Malaysia? Someone told me it would be easier to fly out of Hawaii. Is it less expensive to fly through Malaysia? We would need to break the trip up because I am worried about kids on a 19 hour flight...:scared:

Maybe your dh will get to do a job swap, it really sounds pretty cool. They only swap for a year at a time? You get to see the world that way, which is awesome!

BTW: It's around 1 AM where I'm at. Yes, I am up too late.... My best energy and most creative ideas are born at this time of night. Maybe I should have been born down under....

I vote for family      If you are VERY lucky, your daughters will have the kind of relationship Heather and I have.
no kidding! ... I sure hope so!!! :)

Right now, they are at that stage, that they are only nice to each other, when they are asleep. :confused3

I usually use white unless it's going to show. Right now, I have two spools of white, one lt. blue and one yellow on there! I have four spools on standby for when I figure out how to do a rolled hem!

Going back to lurkmode! We officially started homeschool today... but I did get A-R-I-E-L appliqued onto dd6's capris after everyone went to bed! Now I just need to work up the courage to do Ariel on the other leg!

Oh, and I used the Magic Sizing on my fabric for dd2's Little Einstein outfit, that stuff is cool!

Hurry up, I cant wait to see it! uhhh, no pressure there or anything.....

OK, here we go!!!!! Can you hardly stand the excitement!!! This picture was 14 years in the making!!!!!

The pants is the outfit Heather made Corey when he was about 1. It was a little big then, but look at it now!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (3 minimum) Corey is doing his Mervyn's mannequin pose for you all! Actually, he said, "Do NOT put those pictures on the internet Mom!" Yeah, right, like I wouldn't take this opporutunity to embarass him!

Hhehehehehe that's such a hoot! Oh and my dad always used to joke around at the way Mervyn's had their models pose! That picture is a classic!

OK, not Disney but this is the tee I made for DD to wear on her first day of kindergarten. I thought it might help the teacher learn her name more quickly. ;) I'm making a pleated skirt to go with it using the bubble print for the main part of the skirt and then will insert different colored dot prints in the pleats.

no_teeth1.jpg

BTW - The photo was taken just after her second upper front tooth came out. Unfortunately, I think the tooth fairy is short of cash tonight so may miss our house. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I'm not sure how you refrained. That is too funny

See, my mom taught us manners and it's hard for me to be mean even in retaliation. Of course it's not always easy but I try to remember that she is family... at least until my nephew wises up. :lmao:

So cute Lisa!!! Zoe looks adorable in her shirt! What a great idea!

Maybe they would look like these?
Okay, I thought I would "spice" up a set I am currently making and got all excited painting these shoes. I just was in the mood to be a little "non traditinal" LOL!

Very cute idea and quick thinking on the name thing! Though the teacher should remember her just because she's cute! And remember you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family. (or even the ones your relatives choose to marry and join your family by default  ) Just be thankful that we get lucky some of the time. ;)

Adorable! I love the toothless grin - DS just lost his second top tooth too. LOL - about the tooth fairy - she missed our house once (or twice) before too.

Oh, I love those! The ricrac is really a great touch. I need to try embellishing some of Zoe's sneakers.

OK, I'll admit it, I dislike plain t-shirts and decided to add something. DD wants to wear "normal clothes" so I'm trying to keep things fairly basic while still "boutique". :)

Thankfully, my other married nephew and my niece both chose well and I have high hopes for the unmarried nephew. He was enganged but his then fiancee decided a month before the wedding that she wasn't sure about the whole thing so called off the wedding so she could see what she might have missed. We were glad when DN didn't get back together with her when she she realized what a good thing she'd had with him. I guess 3 out of 4 isn't that bad... and the 4th's choice could still improve with age. :cool2:

LOL - about the tooth fairy - she missed our house once (or twice) before too.

DD already learned we need to put in our notice to the tooth fairy by a certain time or we won't get on the list for that night. :rotfl:

I was so sad - when DS lost his tooth DD said to me (when he was out of earshot) "I don't think there is a tooth fairy, I think it is just mom and dad sneaking money under our pillow". My two are twins - age 7 1/2 - is it over for me?? Keep in mind DS will believe anything - DD is another story. Although - when she took her SAT test at school last year (yearly standard testing) she scored at 9th grade reading level:scared1: . Out of 130 reading questions she missed 1.

Hi
No it does not make it cheaper or quicker to fly through Malaysia we just wanted an Asian stop on the trip for great shopping food weather etc. The flight from Australia to Malaysia is only about 6 hours but from there to NY we are looking at 22 WOW I am not sure about this one. When we flew home last year we flew from San Fran to Hawaii and stopped there a few days and then home this did certainly make the flights a lot easier. I wish I had know where you were all those years ago would have been nice to know a familar person. Well I am sure you are probably asleep by now well I hope you are. Have picked DD5 up from school and still nursing DS who had his apendics out on monday I do love them but this whole pain thing does get to everyone. I know he can not help it is must be very painful. Cathc you later.

It's McCall's Costumes MP226. I added the ric- rac based on past pictures I have of the Alice(s) in WDW. I chose not to add the collar which would make it more authentic. I also have the apron detachable. It's just sewn to the grossgran ribbon. I did an heirloom hem on the bottom, which didn't show very well. Just to make it more special.

This is a really good Dorothy pattern, I would think. Pretty easy, except it's only my second zipper. The zipper is ok and functional, but I'm thankful for her longer hair. :rolleyes1

The fabric was only $2.00 at WM and I'm not sure if she'll clash when standing next to the "real" Alice, but oh well!

I wanted the apron ebroidered with Alice and her "autograph", but I didn't want a iron on one(nor did I like the Vodemort selection) so it's just plain.

Confession: I stuck a walmart bag into each sleeve to make it poofy-er. SHHHH!

Your DD is adorable! I Love the Alice! I am working on one as well, I am hand stitching Alice's signature to the apron. Just a thought. ;)

Wow, 9th grade! Good job!

I remember when my oldest dd was about 8 and ds was about 11, she woke up one morning and shouted from her room, "mom, the tooth fairy didn't come last night" I was in the living room and mumbled something like "#$%^, I forogot!" That's when my son said "I knew it!!!!" He always laughs about the way that he found out. I always tried to keep the magic alive as long as possible. Here's a tip: while switching out the tooth/money sprinkle a tiny bit of glitter on the pillow, floor and maybe their cheek so that it looks like she kissed them when she made the swap. Worked for me for a while. I also used to make baking soda footprints throughout the house on Christmas eve ;)

I  these!

I too am working on this costume and bought the same fabric for our MNSSHP night. THis will be my 1st zipper---wish me luck! I may have to case the bag idea if that is ok.

While we're in WDW, at Playhouse Disney is Choo Choo Soul!!!! They are really good! NO idea what to dress in. OF COURSE she'll need a whole ensamble! Something hip and edgey ....yet for a preschooler. Hmmmmmm? Any ideas from the peanut gallery? (Does ANY one under the age of 75 say Peanut Gallery anymore??) :rotfl2:

We are going to Choo Choo Soul also. As someone else said, I already bought the Osh Kosh railroad o'alls. DDs is a dress. For DD I want her hair to be in a pony like Geneveve (sp?) and I am on the lookout for the hat. She has larger gold hoops from DS pirate party that she will wear as well. So far, I found a treble clef (like on her vest) at jo anns that I am using not so sure what else yet, definatly the logo. For DS I am doing the engine appliqued on his if I canfind a good pic to use and I am gonna have him wearing them with one strap undone like the cutie:love: driver. They will be changing right before the concert and this will be #3 outfit just for that day:scared1: Please let me know of any other great ideas that you may come up with.
