This is for the Tink petal dress.

I have this pattern!!! I was going to make a skirt to go with this tee...

IMG_1565.jpg

But the tee is a little long and you might not be able to see Tink's face with the tutu skirt on! I might make it anyway, it's so stinkin' cute!!

Hancock's FYI-

McCall's patterns are $.99 and Butterick patterns are $1.99 until Sunday.

Halloween is also 50% off.

Grab the new sale flyer because there is a 40% fabric coupon on the back that starts on the 16th.

BTW- I am officially in the "club." I bought the Epcot Fabric today!!!:lmao:

Hancock is soooo far from me and I have a Suburban that hogs gas...so I plan on taking my as to Walmart! They totally match the prices and they have a selection! Last week when that sale was on at Hancock, they literally only had 2 of the 10 McCalls patterns I wanted. POOH! "Waldemort" (heh-heh, did you muggles get that?) had all of them

I can't believe that Mickey swirly print is $9.99!!! OUCH! Maybe just a little bit to add to a twirly skirt? That's too much for my blood. Unless, I have a sweet coupon!

get back to sewin'!:thumbsup2

Good Morning Ladies, and Gentlemen closet tailors (do you know any of them?;) )

I have decided that I would like to thank everyone here for all your kind words of encouragement, tons of helpful tips and advice, and even your gentle nudges of "enabling".:rolleyes1

I have been witness to some of the truly wonderful things that "strangers" have done for other people out of the goodness of their heart! :goodvibes And I would like to reciprocate this, even in just a little way.

I would love to send one pair of custom "boutique" style bows to a poster, or even "lurker" on this thread.

Your choice of colors, but my choice of design. If you have a certain outfit in mind, I am sure that I can come up with something to coordinate.
DW has told me that my "new-found" talent is awesome, and is really impressed! (That means a lot coming from her!)

I do not sell or have I sold on "Voldemonte", or do I plan to sell on "Voldemonte", so I am not trying to advertise or promote my business.
(Yay! I got to use the code name! )

I do not have a Boutique, or a Web-site boutique, or even sell from the corner of my garage or from the depths of a dark and spooky basement!

I am just doing this to spread a little pixie dust and as a friendly gesture to a fellow DISer!

To make this fair to everyone, I have decided to take PM's until 8:00 p.m. EST tonight -DIS time, August 10th. (Please state "Bows" in the subject line) Please do not PM after that, I will just have to delete them.:upsidedow

I will put all the names in a hat and have DD pick the lucky name. I will then PM you to make all the arrangements.

I will post the lucky recipients finished bows on this thread!
I will not give the recipients name on this thread. They are welcome to come forth if they want.

So anyone with a daughter, niece, grand-daughter, or even yourself (why not?) feel free to PM me.

Sorry for all the above mumbo jumbo, but I really don't want to get any infraction points against me, so I am trying to clearly state my intentions to just cover myself. (Did that make sense?)

DW has been collecting ribbons for quite some time now, so I have quite the array of colors available. (o.k. not as much as The Seamstress;) , but still alot!)

Have a great day all, and again Thanks!

Hey! I am quoting myself!

Just want to repost this in case anyone missed it!

35 names so far!

Anyone else?..... Anyone?......Anyone?.... Buehler?....;)

I used less than foot of this fabic for this outfit...

IMG_1201.jpg

The employee at Joann's asked me 3 times "A foot?! Do you mean a yard?" A little can go a long way!

I totally "get " all of the "tongue in cheek" references to sweet et al! Well immitation is the sincerest form of flattery right? Oh that AND 300 dollars cheaper:love:

UUMMMM Castle...where are the promised pictures? Here is a  for your rough morning! Remember you ae going to see Playhouse Disney Live (and somwhere else too I thinK:goodvibes )

I know the thought of January right around the corner :thumbsup2 will help me at 3 am tonight when I question my career choice, and tuition, and the car,:headache: and the house, :scared1: and three kids pirate: pirate: princess: and everything else forcing me to work at night!

Hi...sorry that I didn't get to post pictures today. I had to move a lot of furniture around today...and boy am I sore. Just imagine emptying your entire bedroom and switching out 60 inch desks and hutches and dressers...all by yourself...LOL...not fun. I did get mad and kick a plastic bag, because my little kitty decided to lay down in the middle of my new fabric, and wound up kicking a knitting needle, so now I have a lovely puncture wound on my foot, that is not feeling too good...
Anyway tomorrow is another day and has got to be better...LOL...
Right now I'm working on the pink polka dot skirts for my girls and found them the cutest pink fake croc mary janes from toysrus yesterday...
I promise I will post photos of everything tomorrow... I even mangaged to get my fabric all in one place...LOL.. yes..I will take pictures of that too...
Thanks for the :grouphug:

I wore this shirt for Laila's Minnie party with a black tank underneath, and then a white skirt and red white polkadot flip flops....my husband thought I was nuts but all the aprty goers thought it was great! It does have that "air" of a maternity top though- so be sure everyone is clear on whether you "are" or "arent"...all it takes is one outfit in this town to get tongues a waggin'!!!

I love it....:lmao: air of maternity....lately I seem to look like that in everything I wear....:rotfl2:

Tom, I think it is sooo nice of you to give away some bows to a lucky Diser! I have not entered b/c I make my own bows and thought it might be nice for those that can't make them to have the best chance to win! Can't wait to hear who wins and I'm looking forward to more of your creations!!!!

Same here...I try to make my own bows...but I'd gladly take an origional Tom Creation....:rotfl:

I really hope to win the bows so that I can put them in my own hair and hopefully channel the spirit of Tom as I sit in front of a borrowed sewing machine and attempt to make a CASE of Lisa's twirly skirt with some of the the mickey swirl material that I am going to drive 60 miles one way tomorrow to pick up on hold for me at my "closest" Joannes fabric store....

I used to be sane before I stumbled upon this thread :dance3:

This Muggle is lovin' all the references to Voldemort, Waldemort & Targamort! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:  Who knew Lord Voldemort could cause so much giggling.

The winner of my bows has been notified by PM.

Congrats!

To all of those that entered (41 btw) thank you!

I am glad that I am able to spread the Pixie Dust around!

Congrats to the winner! I didn't put my name in. I have 2 DDs and they would've fought over who got to wear them. It was so very sweet of you to do that for us.

I have to say goodbye for a while. I begin Fall Semester on Monday, and I don't think I will have time to come to the boards. If I find time, I will stop in and say hello. I think I have enough ideas for dd and ds outfits for WDW. I will post pics as I make them. I will so miss you all and seeing your creations.

I guess there's no reason this should be a secret, so I wanted to send a big :thanks: to Tom and "Princess Leigh" princess: for drawing me as the winner! I am so excited! I told Tom I felt like I won the lottery! :woohoo:

This was super nice to you to do, Tom, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say your contributions to this (long) thread have been really enjoyed! :goodvibes

Thanks again! I really appreciate the Pixie Dust...I hope it follows us on our vacation...this is a great start! :wizard:

Congrats to my fellow War Eagle fan!!!!

HLAuburn I wanted to say congrats!

Also let me share my big news.......DMIL bought me a sewing machine tonight, I got the Brother 6000i from Wallyworld. I am SEW excited. I have never used a machine before but have already learned to thread the bobbin and needle and I sewed a few stitches on scrap. OH YEAH! I am in Baltimore this weekend visiting my parents so I don't have much my stuff with me so I bought an Alice patten and fabric to make DD MNSSHP outfit. Well I am off to play. party: :woohoo: :jumping3: :Pinkbounc :donald: :sulley: :tigger: :mickeyjum

Finally got these photos uploaded. I thought this outfit came out so cute even if my photos don't do it justice. :) I tried something new on the back. It's simple but I thought it added a nice amount of color to the back (the button is sewn on through the straps so no buttonholes were needed... gotta love that! LOL)
