Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 2

Okay, I "think" I understand. I want to try to copy your dress idea, but with these fabrics

I am thinking a plain purple (not bought yet) for the top bodice, cutting out daughters initials and putting them on the bodice either with fabric glue or applique, have the very full dress (your 88 inch idea) the alphabet letters, and then the bottom ruffle the stripe. Or maybe the bodice in the stripe too? Not sure, I'd love idea help. I am off without kids on Wednesday this week, so i am hoping to attempt this outfit. My daughter will not be going to pre-school, but she can walk her big brothers into their classromms.

I'm so bad at explaining things. I'm a visual learner. The fabrics you chose are really cute. I thought about making my dd (4) an outfit to wear to pick up my dd (5)...sad huh? LOL She's not yet in school and is anxious to go. I saw in idea.. a long time ago. Someone took a black tee, and sewed on red buttons in the shape of an apple. It was so cute. I was dying to try it...

ok.. just needed to vent... working on my first tulle skirt and issues already... and I haven't even gotten to the tulle. Time to go hook up with my best friend the seam ripper.

I know the feeling. I'm sitting her surrounded by a mountain of fabric, wanting to make something and I don't know what!! I love the tink outfit that someone linked us to...but none of my girls care for tink...LOL...

THAT is so adorable! My dd is starting preschool and saw that outfit and said it was "prettttty" (very dramatically).

I LOVE THIS OUTFIT! I watched it on ebay for weeks now. My DD doesn't start preschool until another year. Great find!

Oh! THis is so cute! I wonder where they found they chalkboard fabric?

They don't even have chalkboards at my DD's school. Just Marker boards. At least we have one here at home. It's so much fun and easy too. One quart of chalkboard paint and a blank wall and tada!

Wow, that chalkboard outfit is adorable! I haven't seen fabric like that around here. It's much cuter than the fabric my daughter picked for her back to school outfit: frogs!

I am finishing the last of my embroidering and the machine keeps skipping stitches. I am looking in the manual and the causes listed are needle problems and top thread tension. I already loosened the tension: do you think I need to replace the needle? I am very frustrated because I am almost done and now this happens. HELP!

I knew I was not crazy! Thanks. I was looking too for that bookbag and cannot seem to find it. I think I am going to get DD the tote for Christmas. My MIL goes to NYC once a month to visit her sister and we are goingt to tag along next month. I just do not want to lug that doll around for 12 hours. I know she will not carry it!

I completely understand, I think that's why I ended up buying the doll tote while we were there because I recall having to carry the doll most of the time!!! I loved that place though, it's probably my second favorite place next to WDW! Have a good trip!

I love it! Honestly all I see when I look at the dress is the awesome appliques you did! And the back of the dress is stunning!

you know soething about that ruffle is different. if you add the same ruffle to the bottom of the dress it may bring it together more.

I think it is adorable. I like the idea of adding the blue ruffle to the bottom. There is a lot of work in that dress! You did a great job.
