Ok, its time for me to stop shopping for fabric etc and start sewing.
I am going to start with a pillowcase dress and go from there, but I wanted to show the fabric I got today. It didn't look like one I had seen before, has it been around already or is this one new?

I am not sure what I am going to do with that but hopefully it will come to me.

And then DS saw this and I thought I could put something together with this for our SeaWorld days.

We made these "skulls rock" outfits with PJ pants, as well as shorts to wear as a outfit. Also we did not want the skulls to be perfect because they are not on perfect on the fabric itself-GOOD THING:lmao:

OK you guys. Be nice. DONT be honest ;) ...

This tube dress I did just to re-teach myself simple stitches. It's kinda cute in real life. :cutie:

Then. I got brave and went a leeetle bit over my head skill wise. I'll blame ALL of you for that...

Without a shirt underneath... (DD's name is Norah and she's turning 3 next month, in't she cuuuute?)

I have a couple more projects staring at me. One has a LINING :scared1:

Here's one she was especially cooperative with. This photo shoot took far too long. Me, being brilliant, did this when it was nap time. :rolleyes1

Great idea about using photoshop. I didn't even think of that, duh. Here are a few I had in mind.
The mickey one, there would be gloves appliqued to the pockets.
mickeyjonjon.jpg

A Winnie the Pooh one, possibly, he is not a huge WtP fan but, we are going to CP for his birthday breakfast.
poohoutfit.jpg

Another just mickey one. I actually having cooling neckwraps in the fabric, lol.

Well, what do you think, any other ideas? Dh thinks they look kind of girly but, whatever, they are only this little once. :goodvibes

Oh and hey I want some of those mickey jammies for ME!!!

 Guys, too many. Slow down please... I cant keep up. I havent even finished any of mine. Give me a break, I have to make 3 of each outfit everytime I make something. That whole "You like her better than me thing!":rotfl:

I love the pink pooh outfit,

the pink mickey and red mickey with black capris,

The little boy's blue outfit,

the skull outfits,

the pink mickey pj's

and even

UMAMA's creations. I love the Ariel outfit! I have one of those tube dress things, can I mail it to you and have you sew it together???? Yes, Norah is very cute, I must say she looks like you in most of the pictures, but like her dad in the picture where she's looking down! ;) :goodvibes Tell her Happy 3rd Birthday!!!:bday: party:

These look great! I love the Ariel one and the rick rack makes a very nice touch.

Try cutting the front and back on the fold. I've often wondered why these patterns are 4 separate pieces instead of 2.
Practice first on muslin or something inexpensive just to see how it would sew.

I think it is 4 pieces so that it makes the legs more fitted around the crotch area. This way baby can bend over and move around. Also, the piece for the pattern is for pants too so it really needs to be shaped that way or you wouldn't have enough fabric to snap under the diaper and to make legs.

Does this make any sense :confused3 After typing it I think it sounds kinda goofy!:lmao:

Great to hear you are working on something for your own family. I know your DD will be thrilled. Seeing pics of Ireland always makes me think of what my DD might look like when she gets bigger.

You might not see the resemblence but I've shown my family your pics, and we all agree.

Have you thought of not posting the dress on e-bay right away, I know sometimes w/ bidding you can get good money, but if you gave someone on the board a chance to buy it (there might be rules against it?? i don't know) then you could skip all those pesky e-bay charges and make another dis'er happy.
It'd be worth taking a few PM's about,I'd bet.

I do see the resemblence, and I will have to show you a photo of her at that age. She used to do the scrunched up face for her photos when she was about 2, I think...LOL. I will have to go search for photos...LOL

glorib~ I LOVE the cars shirt!! I want to make one for my DS!! Very nice!!

Elisa~ Were you going to make that minnie outfit you showed awhile back that a little girl wore in a pagent? I would love to see if it you do!! :goodvibes

I bought the material already to make my DD a Belle costume. I am still trying to decide how I want to make it though... As for DS, I am still not sure :goodvibes

I thought about it, and may still do it, but it was too girly for my girls. The younger one, Alexis, will only wear princess dresses to disney, complete with the shoes, crown, and whatever else she feels she needs, while my oldest, Ireland, would be happy in jean cut offs covered in mud. She hates dresses and skirts, even though I make her wear them..:rolleyes1

Aaawww she is so cute! I love the dress and the mermaid outfit! Very cute.

Silly question but I'm asking anyways....if you dress your dc in boutique clothing year round and not just on vacation AND they are little.....how do you fit the skirts/poof in the carseats? DD is 2 and I have grand ideas of what I'm going to sew for her but it's going to get all squished once we get in the car to go anywhere. We live in the northeast so it gets COLD here in the winter. Ideas?

Have her wear leggings and keep the skirt off. When you get there, unbuckle her and just slip it on. That's why I used to do...

UTAHMAMA- GREAT JOB on thsoe outfits! And to think you made those in 2 days- right??? Well, they are just FANTASTICO!

And your DD is a little doll!

Oh and hey I want some of those mickey jammies for ME!!!

These are great!! THe mickey one is really cute. I have made several for DS using Buzz fabric, The Mickey Camo fabric and Nemo. Next I am making him a pirate one and a matching top and capris for DD.

Next year my DS will be too big for this style. I'll have to make Camp shirts. Ugghh sleeves and Collars. If I have time I may make a cars shirt though. I found a cute Cars fabric with Lightning McQueen and Mater. DS loves Mater!

Love the jammies they are fun to make. DD and I have matching Tinkerbell pants, DH and DS have matching Mickey pants. But Flannel is too hot this time of year for us.

Hey, I found this one...with Minnie...she was 2 years old..

Someone had posted about looking for short overalls. I saw some at Target this week and I believe they were around $5.00. I think they were for girls but if you were going to be putting patches or stuff on them, you could probably cover up the small flowers they had on the bib.

THank you! I was looking for boys and I found some at Wal-Mart. They weren't on sale but they were the right size. Now I need some for DD. I want to applique them to wear over to Fort Wilderness to ride the ponys and eat at Trail's End Buffet! THen we will go to Chip and Dale's campfire singalong. MMMM smores!
