You all remember my DD nemo outfit. (the very first thing I ever sewed!) I've since blinged her outfit (not in Photo), made her shoes and hairbow!

Really cute! I love the shoes and the hairbow.

Thanks so much. Honestly we do not know what is going on. They think she is having pedi mal seizures. They are less severe but still scary as can be! We living pretty close to Baltimore and D.C. so we have great hospitals. We are just waiting to be seen. She has to have some testing done but because of her age she has to be sedated.

The good news is everyone has told us she should grow out of all this. That is my hope. She is the sweetest little baby. My DD3 is very high matienance. It is nice to have a break with the little one. The baby has just been spending extra time with Mommy.

Thanks so much for your concern. It is funny because I do not technically know how to sew. I love to sew. I just was never taught the proper methods. It has been very theraputic for me. My DH has had to work at night for the last couple weeks. (He is a project manager.) I have really enjoyed sewing in the evenings when the house is quiet.

I took the girls to JoAnne's yesterday and I was conned into making matching Dorothy costumes for the girls! They are too funny. My DD is three and managed to pull that off!

Pixie Dust to your little girl. I hope she is okay.

Okay, I am not sure I am following this are you saying you got an ariel applique at the Disney Store? Wow. I think I will have to head up there. Ariel is my DD's favorite! I would love to make a pair of denim overall's with Ariel for DD and maybe ones with flounder for DS.

It is adorable! You did a great job.

Can you make a little shopping list of where you got some of the items?

I think you said the outfit was from KMart
THe appliques were from JoAnn's or the Disney Store??:confused3

Where did you get the beads?

THe ribbons were from JoAnn's too? Very cute.

Hi Dreamer and Wisher...thank you so much for the compliments! Ok a list...lets see,
1. Original Outfit - KMart on sale rack $9
2. Sequin Ariel on shirt - KMart - it was on a tank top and I took it off, $10
3. Iron On Ariel, Bubbles, Flounder, Star Fish and Decoration on Butt - Disney Store $4.99
4. Fabric - JoAnn's - I bought 1 yard but only used maybe 1/3, $4.50/yard
5. Green Checkered Ribbon - JoAnn's - about $4.
6. Bag of shell shaped buttons - JoAnns - About $2
6. Red dot ribbon - $2/sale - Michaels Craft
7. Huge bag of beads of which I hardly used any to make the necklace and bracelet - Bag was $5, Strechy jewelry elastic - $1, Ariel decorations $5, all at Michaels Craft.
8. I also bought thread, heat and bond lite (for under appliques and letters) and I had the stencils to make the leters.

I am guessing I maybe invested $40-$50 in all! Wow it adds up when you buy retail. But it will be totally worth it when I see this little girls face light up!!!

THanks so much for posting that I am going to look for the appliques at our Disney store. I hope to make something as a surprise for DD!

I used to sew strictly costumes until I found this thread. Now I sew quite a lot. My abilities have expanded SO much since I've frequented this thread. I owe it all to the wonderful ladies here. My DH took up a second job recently so he's been working several evenings too. I can't imagine trying to juggle it all with a little one who's not feeling so well. I hope everything is back to normal for you again soon. Let me know how things go.

Hi All,

I just bought this onsie on Ebay for my DGS Cayden. I can't wait to try it on him when it gets here. If the applique is hard to see it's a baby with Mickey ears and a pacifier. I also have a bunch of clothes ordered for my DD's and once they all get here I'll take some pictures and post them.:)

I love the Friends around the world fabric and the coordinating fabric with the writing. I just got some on Sunday and I have been wondering if it was too "girly" :cutie: to make something for DS out of it?

I am definatey making a dress for DD but am wondering if it could be used to applique some of the boys in the fabric on some denim shortalls? I love the faces on the shoes!

Please share your opinions or ideas!:flower3:

I think this fabric would look awesome on a boys style camp shirt. A while back someone posted pics using busy fabrics in a strip on each side of the front and the rest a solid color. I picture this on black or blue. I think it would look awesome, then applique the boys on the pant legs or back pockets would be awesome!

Not sure who orginally posted (I don't remeber ever seeing the first one!!!) The second one is by nanascustomcreations. Hope this gives you some inspiration!

Ok ladies, this thread has caused me to come out of lurkdom. I have 2 DD and a DS. I have made a few things for my DD7 and DD5 but my poor DS3 only has 1 shirt so keep those boy ideas coming.
When I have enough posts I will attempt to post pictures. I also make purses and quilts and will post those as well.
Keep up all the good work and the inspiration you provide to all us lurkers.

There was also an outfit posted sometime back (it may be in the group photobucket page) that was really cute... I think the outfit was for a girl, but the jeans would be cute for a boy also. The jeans were embellished with Mickey Heads that resembled the flags of the countries in Epcot. A camp shirt out of the "Friends" fabric with these jeans would be so darling!
