We are getting ready to make ADR's and want a table service restaurant (dinner preferably) in EPCOT World Showcase. We have 2 kids (8 and 6) somewhat picky eaters. Any suggestions where we will all be happy. It does not need to be character dining.

My DS6 is picky, but he loves Teppan Edo. The show is entertaining enough to get him to eat the food. That's the only TS he really likes in WS. He would really rather eat CS in the American Pavillion. :rolleyes1

another vote for teppan edo - we ate their last trip, and my kids loved it (2 and 4 at the time).

I'd vote for Biergarten. The atmosphere is lively and there are buffet selections that can please even the pickiest eater- I know because I brought an 7 year old Captain Complainy with me a few weeks ago and he loved this place.

My DD (4) is extremely picky and she loves Biergarten.

Teppan Edo was one of my DS's favorite places on his trip. We went for his 5th b-day and he loved the show. The food is plain enough for the pickiest eater as well.

Biergarten for us too. Teppen Edo is like several restaurants we have locally; Biergarten is unique.

If you have questions of the foods being served just go to allears.net. They have the menus for the different restaurants and even a list of items on the buffet. That should help you.

Our son is a VERY picky eater and we've had great success at Disney restaurants, including several in the world showcase at Epcot. If you are worried about it, put in a dietary restriction, other, when you book your ADR online and they will send a chef out to talk with you. They can make things that aren't on the menu, including cheese pizza with no sauce, plain pasta with butter and parmesan cheese, grilled cheese, flatbreads, etc depending on the restaurant. It seems almost all have chicken nuggets if your child will eat these (mine won't).

I'd recommend Akershus in Norway if you are on the dining plan. It's a great value for one credit. Lots of princess interaction, an included photo package, and the grown up food is delicious. Our picky eater loved the hot crusty rolls with butter, cheese from the cold buffet, and the chef made him garlic bread and then a plain pasta dish. Wasn't a very nutritious meal, but he was happy, so we were all happy. They even brought him a separate chocolate mousse dessert with no raspberry sauce underneath.

If you are paying cash, Akershus is not such a great value. I'd try any of the other Epcot restaurants that appeal to you and ask them to make something suitable for your children.

I'd suggest Teppan Edo, Biergarten, LeCellier, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Tutto Italia, Via Napoli or Rose & Crown. EPCOT really has some fabulous restaurants for even the pickiest of eaters.

My kids really love Biergarten and Coral Reef for their unique atmospheres. CR has plainer food for a picky child and Biergarten has such an enormous selection that anyone can find something to eat (my pickiest child inhaled the soup, pretzel bread, cheesy spaetzle and a veggie - broccoli? carrots? I forget)

We've never eaten at Teppan Edo and likely never will because similar hibachi restaurants can be found locally but if you don't have access to that experience it might be worth trying.

Another vote for Teppan Edo! It is a dining experience. You share a U shaped table with 4 other guests and the chef entertainingly cooks in front of you. Beef chicken or shrimp ... there is something for everyone ... even the picky ones. I know ... DSiL and DGS are picky.
