I was very dissappointed in the dining plan this time. This is our 3rd time doing it and will be our last. The new kids menus were so lame. They are all printed on the same sheet so each TS meal you go to, it is the same darn word seach, hidden mickey's etc... I advise to bring a few things to occupy them because some of the TS meals can be a little longer then you anticipate. We ate at LeCellier, Spoodles and GF Cafe for sit down TS meals. They offered 2-4 options for main meals and then choices for your two "ears" of the plate. It all comes together unless you ask for separate courses with yours - which I recommend. It seem that pizza, PB&J and chicken nuggets were the 3 staples and sometimes we had a mac n cheese or beef a roni on there. There was never any grilled chicken, chicken drumstick, fish, etc... offered. I am just glad we were only there 5 days. The side choices were fruit cup, cold carrots/celery, cooked carrots/green beans, 1 cookie, 1 applesauce and sometimes a soup. This was meant as appetizer, dessert. Problem with that is that there was no side item with the kids meals, no mashed potatoes, no fries, no veggies - so we always picked the cooked veggies for the one ear. LeCellier did have an option of a make your own sundae but to still offer the smores dessert or the chocolate moose (really kids desserts) and not offer them to kids is pretty lame. I took DD's make your own sundae and I order the moose for her (she had it the last 2 times and loves it.) The sundae is a melon ball size of plain vanilla, some plain sprinkles and brownish banannas. Ew... The other funny thing is the waitress (who was awesome by the way) told us they are told they HAVE to put the kids snack/dessert in their spot and at that time we can switch if we choose to. She could get in trouble for placing them in the wrong spots and give other people the wrong idea. It just seemed much more rigid this time and with the no gratuity, no appetizer option along with the new kids menus means no more DDP for us. We enjoyed it while it lasted but I think we will be better off just paying out of pocket.
