Kid's Club's

We will have a 4 year old and a 1 1/2 year old on this trip. We plan on having one evening for a dinner at V&A for the adults. So here is my question.

Which kids club is the best and why? Which do you feel gives the most entertainment for the children? Is there one you really enjoy taking your children to the most? We will be staying at the Poly and having dinner at the Grand Flordian. Where should I make reservations for our 4 year old.

Our daughter, age 6 3/4, was not pleased with the Sandcastle Club last week. She loved it at age 4. The Neverland Club at the Polynesian gets consistenly good reviews here as the best of the bunch.

our DD loves the Neverland club; but when she was littler, she wanted to be at whatever resort we were at. what are you doing with the baby?

My sons have done the Neverland Club at the Poly, the Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club and Simba's Cubhouse at AKL. Simba's was their favorite but they did enjoy all 3. They didn't dislike any of the three. That is now a big question on our trips "when do we get to go to the kids club?" and "do we HAVE to eat dinner with you tonight? Can't we go to a kids club?" We peeked in to the one at the GF and, IMHO, the Neverland Club looked "cooler" to me but I thought it looked cooler than Simba's too and the kids LOVED Simba's.

Thank you all for your information. We will have in-room child care for our 1 1/2 year old. I am not sure which company to use, either Faireygodmothers, or the kidscare (I can't remember the name of it)

Does anyone have pictures of the Neverland Club? I would like to know how it looks before I put my little one in there. What activities do they plan for the children? What if the child gets sleeply? Do they have an area for them to lie down?

You can also go at a certain time in the afternoon for an open house to meet the staff and explore a little. This is before they open. for security reasons, parents are not allowed in the actual "inside" of the center beyond the (really cute) greeting room --the check-in desk is a child's bed a la the Darlings--when guests are present. they give you a beeper and call you if your child needs you. My DD has wanted to go a couple of times ever since she was 6. Prior to 6 she wanted to be at the kids' klub on the grounds of where we were eating.

They do have a resting area in all of the clubs.

If you're importing childcare for the 1.5 yr old, it would be cheaper to use that childcare for both, unless your 4 yr old wants the "club" experience.

We used both the Neverland Club and the one at the GF for my dds (4 and 6 then). My younger daughter preferred the kids club at the GF because it was much smaller and more intimate, with not too many kids around (she is a little shy). My older daughter preferred the Neverland.

Thank you so much for all the information and sites. The Neverland Club looks wonderful. I would enjoy staying there. Our little guy we will do in room care. We really want DGD to have a special time with friends that evening. She is very social.

What is the name of the kids club at the GF? I want to see picture of them all now. But I have made a ressie for NC. Thank you again.

Mine absolutely LOVED the Neverland club. They have arts and crafts, Disney movies, free arcade games, a kids buffet dinner and night time snack. I am not sure what they do if the kids get sleepy, 'cause mine never did, they were still wired for sound when we picked them up! Of course, they fell asleep as soon as their little butts hit the seat on the bus!

My daughter stayed at the Neverland Club two years ago and absolutely loved it!! The theming is great, the food she loved, and she made some friends which was very important to her. If you are staying at the Poly, you can actually take your child in there in the afternoon before 4:00 p.m. and play for free while you watch. They have videos and games and the CMs are great! My vote is for Neverland Club.

My girls have stayed at the Neverland club (Poly), Cub's Den (WL), and Simba's (AKL). They enjoy all three, but favorite is hands down the Neverland Club.
