Hi all, I havent posted on the boards since last summer because i was certain that I would not be doing any Disney activities this year... Well, DH said we can go on cruise.. Yeah here we come. My question is regarding Kids club. Can't seem to find hours of operation on any boards. I have a 4, 5, and 12 year old. Also, is it true that my oldest can sign herself in and out of club if i allow her too?? TIA....... BTW im soooo excited.

The Oceaneer's Club (ages 3-7) and Oceaneer's Lab (ages 8-12) operate daily from 9 am to midnight. Some nights, they stay open till 1 am (this is noted on the children's Navigator.) Parents of children aged 8 and up have the option of allowing their child to sign themselves in and out of the Lab. We allowed my daughter to do this at age 10, but put the restriction on her that IF she signed out, she had to go to the cabin--no running the ship. The next year, I gave her the run of the ship.

You still get one beeper per family, so a child can page you and tell you that he/she is signing out of the Lab and where he/she is planning to go.

The Stack (aged 13-18) operates from 12:30 pm to 2 am daily.

So with the beeper, the child that can sign them selves out can tell you where they are going! That would be great!

If your child has sign out privaledges that doesn't mean that you will be notified if they choose to leave. You can ask you child to have the CM beep you with a message of where they are going, but it's up to your child to follow through. We had our 11 DD in the club without sign out privaledges and she hated it, she thought it was too babyish because other friends she made had the privaledge. We gave her a walkie-talkie and sign out privaledges and she loved it from then on, and stayed in touch with us all the time.

I believe that the clubs are open earlier when you are in port to allow the parents to check the kids in if they are going on an excursion??? I remember wishing that they opened earlier on sea days because DS couldn't wait to go. :)

WELL THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO. ONE MORE QUESTION, HAS ANYONE EVER LEFT THERE CHILDREN IN THE CLUB DURING A SHORE EXCURSION AND HOW DO THEY CONTACT YOU IF THERE IS A PROBLEM?

D'Angelosdodisney, We checked our DD6 in the club at ST. Thomas while we did the Captain Nauticas snorkling excursion (excellent btw). Well, we were told that they could get in touch with our boat if something god forbid happened to our daughter. I made myself believe this was true or else I wouldnt have been able to do it. I would ask the club again if they could do this and make sure your kids are old enough to be comfortable at the club so they arent crying for you for 3+ hours. Im sure your kids will be fine, my daughter still will not be old enough to go with us (we plan on doing Captain Nauticas again)next time so we will be leaving her in the club again. As soon as we got back from the excursion we picked her up from the club then took her out shopping with us, we wanted her to be able to see the island too.
