Kids Club question and going ashore without them (m)

I'll be sailing May 2004 with my 3 year old and 6 year old. I am not sure how my 3 year old will handle the clubs. I want to keep an open mind and be flexible. So, we'll probably try out the clubs with dinner before leaving to go ashore. My question is what happens if you get paged when you are off the boat and they can't get a hold of you? What do they do with your kid?

Just curious... Thanks in Advance for responding!

They will ask you (or you should tell them) that you are going ashore because your pager will not work. They'll ask you when you expect to be back.

Thanks for that reply Buckaroo's Dad.

That gave me a chuckle.

Is anyone else travelling with you? If so, you can give them your pager when you are ashore. If not, I wouldn't be planning any excursions just explore the ports on your own and check in a couple of times with the club. Two out of three cruises we have left DD in the club while we went ashore to shop. We came back onboard to eat lunch and checked in with her and she stayed until the afternoon when we took her swimming. She knew that ahead of time so it was much easier for her to leave since she was going ot do something she liked. Otherwise, she would still be at the Oceaneers Lab right now :) 7 months after we came home. It can be hard to get them to leave once they know they will have loads of fun.

BTW, Buckaroo's Dad, nice comment about the highest bidder.
