Kid's club for a 4 and 5 yo

I have two girls, they are 4 and 5. I see the kids club is separated by age groups, the first one for ages to 4, and the next one starts at 5. Will they really be separated? I don't know if they'll go if they are separated.

Hi...Typically it is 3-4 years old...5-7..etc etc... Your older dd could go down a group, or your other daughter "may" be able to go up...THey will allow one change, and if things do not work out, they can go back to the original groups..

My personal advice would be try to move the younger one up. I moved my DD5 last year to accomodate our cousin.. Big mistake, it was much to childish for her...

That is my take...Good Luck to you..ANd the counsellors are amazing and are willing to go beyond the call of duty..

I would suggest that you print out the navigators for both age groups & go over it with your 5 yo first or maybe both of them depending on the girls. Let them decide which activities they will want to do. My 5 yo DS loved the 3-4 group our first cruise. We had just gone to MK for the first time two days before getting on the ship & he really liked the character interaction in that group. Goofy's PJ party was at the 3-4 year group on that cruise but is now with the 5-7 group. Remember that each character really only shows up in the club for 10 minutes, plays a bit with the kids, has a group photo taken then leaves. The counselors do activities to get them ready for the visit. My kid's favorite thing was learning to be a mousekateer with Mickey. There are more visits by the princesses in the 3-4 group. I don't remember any with the 5-7 yos from our last cruise when DS was in that group. He enjoyed the science experiments the most.

I think a lot depends on how far apart your girls are in age. 4 and 5 can be 11 months or 23 months and that can make a difference. I think looking at the activities in the Navigators is a great idea and talking to the CMs in the club for their recommendation.

My preference if for you to say "You'll both be in the same club but in different groups." pretty matter of factly and see how it falls out. If you get static from that statement, THEN think about making a possible change. The CMs will work with you if they see a problem.

Mine were four and five and thirteen months apart. We left them in the groups they "belonged" in.

A lot of club time they were able to spend together, but the 5-7s spend some time over in the lab and do some different stuff.

The 3-4 activities seemed pretty babyish - fortunately my daughter doesn't mind being little, but at 4 1/2 she was pretty beyond some of the games they were playing. I watched them do a matching game, and she had it down while most of the other kids were trying to figure out what they were supposed to do.

On the other hand, I really wouldn't have wanted my four year old hanging with the seven year olds. She wasn't really ready for that either.
