Kids christmas question

Would your kids rather get one big present for Christmas - A trip to Disney World for a week, or lots of smaller presents?

Trip. They are pretty straight on not needing a bunch of stuff. And family time is treasured, especially as they begin to move out and onto the next season in life.

One of the big treats this Christmas is bringing their sister home for the holiday. She is studying in France, and it had been planned that she stay there. But she is ready for a break, and we would like to see her!

Last year we chose to spend Christmas in WDW as our Christmas gift. The trip its self was the present and our son loved every moment. Ok-I did too!

I am not sure my kids could wrap their heads around not having any presents. Maybe once they get a little older.

I think it does depend on the age of the kids. I know my kids would say both, LOL!

That's what we're doing this year. We're spending the week before Christmas at Disney (the three of us and DD's BF). Of course, my DD is 19 now, but she would have made the same choice at 10.

A little bit of both. My son is happy with one large gift from us (he's getting all his Tae Kwon Do sparring gear and weapons), but on Christmas morning, he'd like to have some presents from Santa to open as well.

I think it does depend on the age of the kids. I know my kids would say both, LOL!

I voted for smaller gifts.

We've already been to WDW twice this year (8 or 9 days both times) & are going 3 times in 2007....so my kids would never understand a trip as being their gift.
