Kids Buffets/adult buffets?

I've read on different menus that some of the buffet restaurants offer what they call "childrens buffets", with typical kid orientated foods.

Do kids have to choose from the "kids buffet foods". Or can they still choose foods from the regular buffet line?And if they do are they charged the adult price?

Anyone can eat any of the food at the buffets. Kids can eat off the adult lines and adults can eat off the kids line. My DH loves to get corn dog nuggets. They just provide child-friendly food to make sure your kids will have something they can eat.
