My kids are suffering from Post Vacation Depression Syndrome. Seriously. LOL! We just got back last Friday. My 5 yr old dd got out of the bath tonight and said, "Mommy, I bet people are at Disney World having fun right now. (Sigh) And we are at home." Our oldest dd asked us if people can live there. I'm glad they had such a wonderful time but it's hard to watch them miss it so much!

That said, I don't know how we could ever duplicate that trip. It was our first time at WDW and it just seemed like everything went right. We paid for a garden view at the Poly but got a BEAUTIFUL lagoon view room. The girls got picked to join the High School Musical pep rally and our oldest dd was chosen for the Pirate tutorial. The youngest two were chosen to drive the Jungle Cruise boat. The kids were chosen for the candy art in Japan at Epcot. We won Dream Fast Passes in the MK. A sweet sweet high school girl gave our oldest dd a pin on the ferry. Everytime we were in line for characters it seemed we got to be the last ones before they went on break. We really didn't have to wait for anything. Ohana changed our breakfast reservation for us because the kids were still sleeping (after the P&PP the night before). I thought that was so sweet. And they got us in that night w/out an ADR too! Everything just seemed to go right.

It was our first trip so I don't know any different but it seems this trip would be hard to beat.

WOW, that really does sound like a wonderful trip!! Your kids suffer from the same thing I do! Planning your next trip, even if it's far away, is the only treatment currently available. ;)

As far as comparing future trips, each time you go back, it will be a slightly different experience, since the kids will be older (even if only a little) each time.

We've been about 2x's each year for the past 5 years, and we try to do different restaurants each time & different resorts. Then you *can't* compare the previous trip as much. Also, each year, my kids can go on 'new' rides as they get taller and braver. This coming summer trip, ds6 can finally go on rock-n-roller coaster, and he's thrilled! (dd8 and I will skip it, but ds and dh will go). we were just you-tubing it last night.

We started our trips when mine were 21 months and 3 1/2yo, so we've graduated from mid-day naps and mainly fantasyland, to Test Track and Soarin. There's always something new!

Oh, and many trips, we do 'other' stuff too, like disney's mini-golf, dtd movie theater, etc. DH and ds are doing a bass fishing excursion on this next trip too. And we'll all probably do the water mice too. Stuff we wouldn't have taken the time out of the parks to do on our first few trips. One of our favorite trips was staying in Ft. Wilderness cabins and having a golf cart for the week. We bbq'd a few dinners on our deck, rode around on the golf cart a lot to the different playgrounds during our down-time (that was the kids favorite part of the entire trip), did the chip-n-dale sing-a-long outdoor movie and roasted marshmallows... really fun stuff!

So just make sure you try different things and you'll make each trip a whole new experience!
