Our kids got the WDW lanyards and a set of starter pins on our last trip--they LOVED it!! I thought the oldest would think it was weird, and he had a blast. so, on our next trip we def. will be doing it again. My question is this, how many of you let your kids put their theme park tickets in their lanyards? I always carry them with me in a tiny wallet-I am afraid they will blow off on a roller coaster or just somehow get lost.I would have a heart attack!! Do ya'll do this with success? I am all for making things easier on everybody, but if I think I am going to be checking this constantly or worrying about it, I'll just continue to carry theirs myself! HELP!!

Oh, if they do carry their own, what do they carry them in?

I probably would not let the younger ones, but he 12yo it would depend on maturity. My ds17 has been keeping up with his own for years. My dd12 I won't even trust with her fast pass. :confused3 :lovestruc And hers has the ziploc type closure.

That said, my friend came with me last trip and she lost hers and she is 26. Luckily she had purchased it at WDW and, just by giving her ID and credit card used to purchase, they issued her a new one. If you are staying at a Disney property I also think they can replace it. Also, if you have your receipt and/or the number of the ticket. Maybe take a picture of the numbers on it.

DS is 7 (almost 8) and I just bought him a lanyard with a waterproof zippered pouch. The pouch will hold his KTTW, his FastPasses, and money. DS may decide to tuck the lanyard under his shirt, but if he doesn't, it's long enough where it can't blow off his neck easily. I will probably make him tuck it under his shirt for TOT and RnRC, though...if anything, so that the pictures don't get messed up... :rotfl:

I think it would depend on the child...you know them best and you know how responsible they can be...I lucked out and have a very responsible kiddo.

Now if I could just get him to watch where he's going so he doesn't keep running into people/animals/inanimate objects... :sad2:

Mine are very responsible for their ages as well--I was worrying about them somehow falling/blowing off on rides.

Same here about them running into stuff. Especially at WDW!! they get so into looking at stuff, they don't look in front of them! Bless their little hearts!

i side with i wouldn't let younger ones carry their tickets. Also, we had issues with our starter set lanyards coming apart at the velcro when we got to many pins on them.
