A few crocs questions for those of you who are sold on them: first, do little boys wear them? Locally, I only seem to see little girls and women in them. Also, are they appropriate to wear to Disney in December? Would you wear socks with them or no? Are the truly the most comfortable for tired feet, or are my kids better off in good athletic shoes? Thanks!

Everyone wears Crocs. My sons both have three pairs. They are the best shoes I have ever worn, my feet are never tired when I wear them. Sometimes I wear socks and sometimes not just depends on my mood and the weather.
Don't know about Orlando in December never been at the time.

My kids love them!! My oldest son is autistic, and hates wearing sandals or flip flops. He just loves his sneakers! He was thrilled that he has been happy to wear his crocs all the time. I think he likes the ease of being able to put them on without effort, and they stay on easily. My daughter would like to live in hers, 24/7. My 2 year old has a pair that are a bit big, but he still trots around in them all the time.

They've been wearing them without socks, now that it is warm all the time. I wear mine with or without, so you are fine to go either way. I know the weather in December can be tricky, so pack some socks and you'll be all set!

I bought my son a pair, he'll be 2 next month, and he loves them. I see a lot of men wear them, especially college age guys. They are getting really popular here in South Florida. A lot of kids in my DD6's school have them, boys and girls. Black, green and orange are usually what I see the boys/men wear. I haven't bought my self a pair yet, I think there cute on the kids, but I'm not sure how they would look on me. When my DD6 tried them on she didn't like them, she didn't like how the bottom felt. But, now she's fine with them and loves to wear them. I wear flip flops all year so I think they would be fine to wear in December. I'm not sure about socks, never saw anyone wear them with crocs. For our Disney trip I hadn't bought the crocs yet so my kids wore tennis shoes. I'm not sure if I would have put them in crocs for the whole day. Maybe my DD6 , but not my DS, because he sometimes will kick one off. Hope I helped answer some of your questions. :)

I see everyone with crocs! Well, not too many men, but tons of little boys. Me and my DD (2) has a pair. She LOVES hers. They are the only shoes she can put on by herself.

They now have the faux 'crocs' for kids at Payless. :thumbsup2
I have seen little boys wear them and yes with or without socks. :goodvibes

I have three boys and all three LOVE their Crocs. They wear Crocs to the park, to church, to the mall, in the creek, in resturants...they just love their Crocs. The only place they don't wear them is on the soccer field!!

I also see a lot of college age guys in them. My husband however will not wear them...but if he did he would be sold...they truly are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I have ever owned (and I have tried them all from Birkenstocks to Nike to Teva to ?????).

I would not hesitate to put my boys in them for an entire day at Disney. I would however bring along another pair of sandals or tennis shoes "just in case". I always bring along a second pair to leave at the hotel in case they need to switch out the next day.

As far as socks, my boys wear them with and without. Depends on the weather. I do the same. Then again, I don't really care what people think my feet look like with them. I plan on wearing mine with "mini socks" (the kind that just cover your toes, bottom of your foot and low part of your heel) when we visit in September. I don't like "wet feet" and no matter what anyone says about the ventilation...your feet sweat period. At least mine would.

My boys have Crocs in navy, bright orange and bright yellow (each one picked their own favorite color). We are going to get each of them another pair soon *variety is the spice of life* :thumbsup2 .

Good luck, I think your sons feet and legs will be much less tired in Crocs!! They really are "miracle" shoes!! :cool1:

DS4 wears his ALL the time. He loves the fact he can put them on himself. His are navy blue. He can look at them at tell which shoe goes on which foot which is great as well. I see people all over the place wearing them. I plan on getting him another pair or 2 for summer so he can also take them in October. I agree about the more neutral colors for boys, But I have seen boys in the red and lime green as well.

I am at Disney right now, and they are all over the place. My girls wear them all the time and love them. NEVER with socks, though. :smooth: In December it might be a bit too cold, but the weather is so up and down here (I live here also) you never know until you get here. I mostly only see crocs on kids, though. Adults mostly wear flip flops. I can't wear crocs because my feet are long and narrow and they look ridiculous on me. Like big ol' clodhoppers. But they look adorable on my kids. And way comfortable for summer.

Okay, about socks. Please don't flame me for this, but technically, if you care at all about fashion, you are NEVER supposed to wear socks with birks, sandals, adidas flip flops, or yes, even crocs. It's like wearing pantyhose with open toed shoes. Yikes. Mostly I see people from up north wearing socks with their crocs. (Hey that rhymes, socks with crocs!) I plan to teach my girls about sandal etiquette from a young age. :teeth: Having said that, if you want to wear socks with them, go right ahead. It's Disney! Whatever makes you happy! :earboy2:

I hope I haven't just stirred up some trouble! :stir:

I would like to point out where socks are fashionable with the adidas flip flop (or other brand) and that is when you come off the soccer field and take off your shin guard push your socks down so that your legs can breathe and throw on your flops to leave. Something about the flip flop, socks and a uniform - that is acceptable!

Yes, yes, this is true. It is on page 26 of Official Sandal Etiquette. :teacher: But we must be clear, it is only acceptable when you are TRULY coming off the soccer field and are really a player in uniform. Otherwise acceptability is null and void. Thank you for pointing out this loophole. I, as an un-athlete, simply forgot. :guilty:

I agree with you! BUT, Crocs with my thin running socks are the most comfortable thing ever!!! I could walk Disney a week straight with that combination.

I guess my DD and DS have repeatedly committed a fashion crime. :)

They love wearing their Crocs with socks in cooler weather.

The whole sandals rule has me cracking up!! Where I grew up (in WI) everyone wore Birks, Adidas slides, and most other kinds of sandals WITH socks. When I was in college it was a fashion statement to wear them with socks... :rotfl: :rotfl2: It's so funny how different parts of the country, different areas, different schools, even different families and people like one thing but would never do another!! ;)

I love my crocs with socks when it's cold out. When it's warm or cool they go sockless on my feet. In HOT weather...my mini socks come back out.

SSSSHHH... don't call the sandal police!! :lmao:

No matter what you wear someone will always think it's "cool" and someone else will always think it's "wrong". So as for myself, I have chosen to wear what I want and dress to please me (or my dh if I am being extra sweet) and what is most comfortable for me and then forget about what anyone else thinks.

:grouphug: Hugs all around...to those with socks and sandals and those with bare toes poking out :grouphug:

My DH and I purchased our first pair of crocs. We love them!! He said he likes them better than a regular flip flops, coming from someone who only wears sneakers and the occasional dress shoe on Sundays.
I think that the socks-n-crocs debate is hillarious, I must agree with the no sandals and socks for me but to me crocs are more of a 'clog', which is neither or :stir: ........ so it would seem to me acceptable to wear them w/ or w/o socks :rotfl2:
To answer the question, yes I think that you could wear them all day at Disney. :thumbsup2

wooo wooo woooo here comes the sandal police! :rotfl:

In summer here in FL you probably would not want to wear socks. It's so humid, you just want everything to breathe. Even your feet!

Here's a question,
I was looking at Croc's at Dick's Sporting Goods and just saw that they have Croc flip flops. Has anyone tried these? How do they compare to the "clog" style?

The Croc Flip Flops are WONDERFUL!!!! The soles of the flip flops are the same as the Crocs with a flip flop top. I got the all black pair (all they had in my size) but will be going back for the green/pink pair. I also have 2 pairs of the regular crocs (black & peach). My husband has black, son lime green, daughter pink. We all love them and will be wearing them at DW in July. :thumbsup2

My DD (8) wore her Crocs for a week straight at Disney this past April. Actually that's not true, she chose to wear her sneakers on day at AK, and as soon as we were in the car headed back to our condo, she proclaimed, "Tomorrow, I'm wearing my Crocs!"

While waiting for a parade one day we played "Croc Watch" (a game we made up!) and saw that many different people wear Crocs!

I have decided to give crocs a try. I have a khaki and pink pair (Even though they are incredibly ugly I still want to match up a little with my clothing and since pink is one of my favorite colors and khaki goes with everything...), my DS has a red pair, DD has a pink pair, and we even convinced DH to try a black pair. I hope that DHs will help his feet. He had a motorcycle wreck many years ago and messed up his foot and leg pretty bad. Almost totally lost the foot but miracles happen and they were able to fix his injuries. (Injuries too gross to mention!!) Does anyone else know if his Crocs will help absorb some of the shock from walking on his legs and feet? By the end of each day he is limping from walking all day. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
